  • I thought about this and i really want to look into more research about this idea of asexuality. I suspect a person chooses to go this route because they were hurt at some point in their life that makes them cringe at sex as a whole. So the idea of staying away from it is just a way for them to protect themselves from the trauma.

    • That's possible also.

  • If your 85 and your wife of 60 years dies, I suppose you might not have a lot of interest in starting over with someone new. I know a guy in this situation, but I'm not about to ask him if he's asexual now.

  • If it happens later in life than that usually means something became out of balance. Hormones, chemicals in your body or trauma, whether that's physical or mental trauma.

  • I'd say it can happen and it comes I believe from having less of a sex drive as we are compared to when we are younger. Our goals change and our mindset changes. It's less about sexual desires and more about family and platonic desires

  • Seems to happen to a lot of women after marriage and kids. I've heard it happens to guys too but not as often.

  • I have seen it happen

  • Voted A. If there's a meaningful distinction between asexual and having absolutely no sex drive, not sure what it is. And definitely some people's sex drive effectively vanishes.

  • It can happen later in life.

  • I believe they are born like that

  • People who doesn't feel a thing, suffers from something that is wrong in their minds and bodies...

Normal people are heterosexual, 1 man and 1 woman = real love, real marriage, real family and real sex...

  • I think you're born that way. Its not natural not to desire sex.

  • asexual meaning no sex? Many people married that lose spouse do that. I would be loyal to my wife if she died before me.

    • It doesn't just mean no sex. It means no desire for romantic relationships or sexual relationships with either gender.

  • I guess it could happen in life when you get older who knows LOL

  • It can happen later in life.

  • I have been horny from the day I can remember.. so I think asexual person also must be naturally like that

  • Actual asexual people are born asexual and never change. Like being gay.

But there is a new under 25 generation who think asexual is something that means just not interested at the moment.

  • It can be after..
