Is it safe to sleep with a guy in the same room but different beds?

Question

I am going on a road trip together with a former coworker. We're not friends but we just happen to both want to go to the same vacation place. I'm thinking about saving money by getting a hotel room with two beds in it. Instead of each of us renting our own room. We will be in separate beds but just sleeping in same room. is it safe? I know guys are horny. I don't know if they will try anything

Unless he's a psychopath, he won't try anything on you unless you agree.
If he has a crush he might try, but hopefully no further if you deny.

It does save money, but it is a bit daunting if you don't know each other well. Think not only sleeping but personal belongings too

He is a  former  coworker, not someone you work with now. You are not friends. So how did you guys decide you both want to go to the same vacation place (and at the same time). Some coincidence! Maybe a better question would be, will he be safe with you?

I would not share a room with a coworker unless it was the only option left. No matter if they were female, male or other. There is always the possibility of a misunderstanding or differing preferences. I've shared a room with a male friend that snored all night and another that was extremely inconsiderate. A disagreement could be escalated to HR and affect your job.

Ok which is more important? Saving money or a sense of security? If you have to even ask this then I don’t think you should be sharing a room w this man. You’re not even friends. You that cheap that you’d sleep in a room w a complete stranger? Get your own room. Pick up some OT or a part-time job.
