it's not strange... thing is not every guy can give good anal... there's the guy who takes short and long strokes... or another combo of... then there's the guy who keeps ramming it deeper and deeper into you and that hurts... good anal sex can feel nice you feel his dick so well when it's anal it can be intense but also good... i had one guy who i really enjoyed anal sex with out of 7 guys who gave me anal... so it's strange you found someone who gives good anal.

It's not "normal" per se, but it's not particularly freaky either.
Lots of women can't come by penetration alone, so going for the one that gives the strongest sensations would make sense. My own partner enjoys anal, but vaginal gets her off easier so anal is a pleasant diversion only. You might be enamored by the stronger pleasure that comes from it. Or maybe be attracted to the slight amount of pain that comes with it at least at the beginning.

Its only strange if the guy/girl you enter a relationship with isn't into it.
