  • It is a great myth that regular sex make women (and men) gain weight. There are a lot of proven benefits to having regular sex – P in V sex - intercourse. Regular sex can fight off stress, boost immunity, uplift your mood, improve heart health and a lot more. However, if there is something that has been widely talked about- is the way sex can make women (and men) put on weight. The topic is highly debated among friends and I am sure you must have come across similar conversations too with your close friends and se partner.

There is no relation between sex and weight gain. There is no proven correlation between bodily growth and sexual activity. Even if some of you may feel that your appearance may start to differ with frequent sex, there is no actual basis that the act of sex, in itself can make you pile on kilos, or make you look bigger than you usually are. It is not sex but the activation or imbalance of certain hormones, which spike up or toss during sexual activity which can have an impact on your weight, no matter what age you are.

Hormones, such as DHEA, estrogen and progesterone which are all sex hormones have been linked to untimely weight gain. Any instability or mismanaged secretion in the hormonal gland can add to weight troubles and put you at risk for obesity. This also depends on several other factors, including puberty age, menstrual cycle and menopause. Hence, it is always advised that one must take care of hormones and lead a healthy lifestyle. Pills to prevent undesired pregnancy are estrogen based, and are sometimes blamed for weight gain.

There is also a tall claim that women, particularly in long-term regular / everyday sexually active relationships are more susceptible to putting on weight. This, again, is nothing but a big myth. Weight gain, if at all can be caused by other factors including the comfort or security, social status and stability and even the diet, which, in fact, can affect both partners and not just women. As long as you eat right, workout and follow a good lifestyle, there is no reason for you to be worried about enjoying good sex life.

Sex is more or less an exercise and you do burn some calories at the end of a hot and heavy session under the sheets. Take this for an example. 30 minutes of sexual activities burns anywhere around 100 to 200 calories every time. Now, when you do have regular sex, you also cut down on other potential factors like stress, anxiety which can rather make it difficult for you to lose weight. frequent - regular sex everyday activates oxytocin, the love hormone, which may even alter your appetite, make you eat less and impact your calorie consumption. How that can be responsible for weight gain? Hence, regular sex, instead of making you gain weight can help you and your partner stay in shape. Remember, sex will NEVER change the way you look.

  • Not scientifically proven. But, in some cultures, a woman after getting married, has a certain glow on her face. This is either due to happiness or the relieving of stress that she might have to undergo prior to the elaborate rituala of marriage, etc, which makes her feel relaxed post marriage. Sometimes, the lifestyle after marriage can lead for lack of time for exercise or other such healthy eating endeavour post marital bliss... Which is normal... And may result in weight gain... But still no scientific proof that sex is a cause for weight gain in women.

  • Where they maybe referencing the fact that a lot of the time when people have good sex they get careless and accidentally end up making a baby?
