I'm not asking if you are for or against, I want to know how the situation is in the USA. Is it true that in the USA a woman is now obliged to continue with her pregnancy even if she is a victim of rape?
Every single person I have heard say they are against abortion always says except when she's raped or her life is in danger. It's just leftist propaganda that conservatives want women to raise products of rape or incest or think a woman should die just to give birth to a stillborn
0 0 0 1It's literally a law in some states. So it's not some just random propaganda lefts made up lmao there are states that follow this rule thanks to conservatism in them states.
If it's a leftist propaganda, then why are conservative politicians and citizens wanting to create laws banning abortion at ANY occasion?
They won't let you stop it from happening.

For sure. Do you actually think that women have control over their own bodies in half the US?
Nope. They have nothing to say on matter. There are other people peering into your bedroom when you fuck.
You get preggo, and you don't have the money to travel to another state (and who does, right?) You can bet you're going to have another mouth to feed soon.
0 0 0 1thanks for the MHO!
In some places, yes. I take Trump's position. Rape, incest and the health of the mother should be exceptions. What "we" are trying to eliminate is abortion as post-facto birth control for convenience.
0 0 0 0There are cases of rape victims who were forced to have the fetus of the rapist. And there are people and politicians who want to ban ANY occasion. I have already debated with conservatives who were against it even in health matters, they said that abortion should occur in case of risk of death, not of health. For example, if the woman is going to be unable to move her legs, she must still have the fetus, regardless of whether it is rape or not. I don't know if most American conservatives feel that way or if I was just unlucky enough to find the stupidest ones.

Not the case. In the USA all the Supreme Court ruling did was leave it up to the states. That's it. So some states are more restrictive, others are super pro abortion. It depends on the state you live in.

4 10The situation is now based on the state you live in. Some states have outlawed and criminalized abortion in all case, some states alow it in cases of rape, some states allow it under a certain number of weeks.
0 2 0 0Can a rape victim in a state that prohibits all cases go to another state or will she be barred? If stopped, what will happen to the woman? What kind of help does she receive? When you say in all cases, do you also include life-threatening cases?
Some states are working on laws to punish women who go to another state for an abortion. Most states that have banned abortion do not have those laws currently, however. Abortion is allowed in life-threatening situations, but there have been at least two cases in Missouri where doctors had to call their legal teams to figure out if they were legally allowed to abort, in those cases the women nearly died. In all cases with rape in states who do not allow abortions, the state gives no help to women. They are of course allowed to give up the child once they give birth, but other than the normal state and federal Healthcare programs, there's no additional help.
Most states that have tried to make laws like that put them on the 2022 ballots and those bills were overwhelmingly voted against. The number one issue for most female voters in 2022 was abortion. They did not like that the law was no longer "my body, my choice". Even diehard conservative women didn't like states taking away their right to choose. I remember a 22-year-old conservative woman was asked what the number 1 issue she was voting on was in 2022 and she said "my body, my choice". She lives in Texas, which has some of the most punitive abortion laws. There is some backlash. Judaism actually has a doctrine related to abortion and allows it. If you outlaw it, then you are violating their religion. There was another case of a pregnant woman using the carpool lane, which requires at least two people in the care. She said that since her state says that her baby is a person, and she's in the car that there are two people in the car.
No. A woman can go to a sane state and receive medical treatment.
0 1 0 0In some states yes.
0 0 0 0In some states yes. America goes by State laws on such matters and even more so after the recent Roe vs Wade thing been overturned.
0 0 0 0Some states yes. I think there was a case with a 10 year old a whole ago. All abortion should be legal.
0 0 0 0It is now in Texas. Even if its incest rape.
0 0 0 0Yes, in some places.

I think every case, but I'm not sure. And they can go to another state... if they can afford it.
Good thing I'm not American. Having to move to another state so you don't have to have the child of the man who raped you?😳😳😳
It depends on the state. SCOTUS said it is the state's decision.
0 0 0 0I hope not
0 0 0 0Depends on the state law
0 0 0 0No, that is false.
0 0 0 0Abortion laws are now left up to the individua states. Some have more restrictions than others, but all of them still allow for abortion in cases of rape.
0 0 0 0Each State is allowed to make its own laws about Abortion now. A Rape Victim can travel out of state to another state where an Abortion is allowed if the state she's in has no exception for Abortion.
0 0 0 0Nothing has changed with abortion. The Supreme Court just said it's up to the states not the federal government. If you want different laws, vote for different people in your own state.
0 1 0 0I'm not American, I'm just curious. I've heard that even women victims of rape are being forced to continue with their pregnancies in some states.
