honestly with auto-ship options from many of the big chain stores these days. it's possible to get them mailed right to your household monthly or every few months.

I would grab them for my ex if I knew she needed them while I was at the store. then again I grow up in a household of mostly females. since my family home was multi generational. so I got used to them in the home at an early age.

Yeah that's weird. It's OK to get them for her, like if your already going to the store anyways, no reason for her to make separate trip just for them.

But to literally want to buy her pads like some ghetto sugar daddy is very weird.

Yes, it is weird. I have no problem purchasing such products for women. When I was around 20 the sister of a gal friend asked me to go to the store and get some, so I did. No problem at all.

It depends on the situation. If he's all happy and shit about buying them then yeah it's weird.
If she has bad cramps or not feeling well and he says I'll go get them then no, it's not weird.
