Is it weird that I prefer to leave a patch of hair in my vagina?

I feel like my vagina looks like a little girl's when its bare so I leave a small patch right in the middle, I feel it gives it character, kind of like having bangs in your face.

While I can't say for a woman's loins in particular, I do prefer some natural body hair on a woman personally. (I am one of the guys who wouldn't mind a woman with hairy underarms, so her genitals being hairy would not bother me either.)

My girlfriend also kept a small patch for some time. She's in the same age category as you (25-29) and she doesn't want to be fully bare anymore, says it's something for younger girls up to let's say 20-21 years old. She doesn't shave always but when she shaves she usually either keeps a patch or a landing strip.
