Is it weird to hit up an old hookup?

It's been almost a year since I've seen this guy. I'm going to be in the area he lives next week and he was an enjoyable fling so I kinda want to hit him up for a booty call. I'm worried it might look creepy or clingy though to message out of the blue. We wernt close or anything and I definitely am not looking for a relationship but I dont know if it would look like it if I hit him up since it has been so long. Would you be weirded out if an old hookup randomly messaged you?

Nothing wrong with that. It's all in your approach. And make it clear what you want as well. Example just a one time thing again, or start up an ongoing thing. Good communication is what's important that's all, so assumptions aren't made.

Neat. Care to explain? Personally I dont have a ton of people I've been with (8) since it's hard to find guys that dont seem like they are going to kill you. So from my perspective it's a safe option but I'd love to know the perspective from the other side.

I see no reason to live in the past. Move fwd. Find somebody new. Sure it's challenging; even more so when you're stuck in the past. If you want it, you'll find it eventually
