  • It's kind of the other way around - a lot of people who have no morals and boundaries blame it on sex addiction, but most of them are "self-diagnosed" and really just use it as an excuse. Sex addiction can be a real thing, but a lot of people who claim it are just self-centered people who want to do what they want. Actual sex addicts are like other addicts - their lives are usually a train wreck overall.

    • It can be real but I'd say ,95% are self diagnosed and just hoes

    • Exactly.

    • Finally we agree lol

  • No. Neither is alcoholism or any other addiction. I have empathy for those who are sick, but we are all still responsible for our actions.

  • No I don’t think it has anything quite to do with moral behavior as morals differ for everyone. Some have a moral based on church other have morals based on culture. Some write their own moral code so who’s to judge someone else other than by their own morals. I look at many people using morals as a way to cut other down and control the heard. That’s my opinion and how I see it, I think of people stayed in their own lane they have a lot more free time. But maybe that’s the problem people are bored or angry and want to make life miserable for others making themselves feel good

  • Which part is immoral though?

  • We all use excuses to get things that are an addiction, no matter if legal or illegal.
gambling, drinking etc all excuses as to why we want and crave.

same with sex, we make excuses on why we are doing it, why we just need that extra night with someone, why we chose that club to go to, all the time knowing certain girl or girls will be there and you can both fulfil your addiction.

following my divorce I went through a period of meltdown, where it must be said I simply had sex with any woman that wanted it, I got involved in a party scene where almost anything was allowed or happened. A very dark period of my life, it took two girl mates to get me out of it, even then I used pretty much every excuse under the sun to get back with the people I was with (no drugs or alcohol) as the sexual buzz and freeness of it and the dark part of me were a huge addiction.

Longer than expected lol, but short version, sex addition is not an excuse for immoral behaviour, there is no excuse for immoral behaviour, nor should they be. We should not need an excuse to do something that defines who we are.

we do however use the excuse with others to hide from them and ourselves of who and what we actually are, often we blame the act of sex and how it leads to immoral behaviour, which is wrong, as sex is clean and pure.

  • Yes, most of the time it is.

  • usually, yah. You can't get legitimately addicted to sex

  • No it´s not one doesn´t need to live out every stupid idea that comes to mind. People should learn to have at least a little bit of self-control.

  • Wow, what would be the immoral behavior you are talking about?

    Sex before marriage?

  • The "Immoral" concept is very relative
we all have different limits, ways of life...

sex addiction is a need, it is physical.

so I would not link the two

    • Ok reword. it is sex addiction a excuse for being a hoe

    • Personally, I don't need an excuse to have sex and fun. I don't care what people think. I just enjoy myself.

    • Cool👍

  • I'm having a bit of trouble interpreting this question because isn't any addiction (ex: drug addiction) considered immoral behavior? How could addiction be an excuse for an immoral behavior when addiction is seen as an immoral behavior? I think this rephrase would better suffice: "Is sex addiction just another word used to label immoral behavior?". My answer considers many situations involving society of course, but also how much control one has over their ability to function when the assumed influence is present. In this case, sexual urges. A simple and brief answer that I will submerge to you from the depths of my knowledge will hopefully provide you not with a direct answer, but rather a different way of approaching the situation. It's better to redirect all attention to one's attributes instead of the attributes of which society demands of. You narrow down all prospects to a single individual and their functions. From there you can observe whether or not their urges have significant influence over their ability to carry out "essential" activities. I'll leave you with that for your conclusion.

    • But I do believe there are troublesome levels of sexual urges that can interfere with one's life. That can truly be labeled as sex addiction. Morals and behaviors are often overlapped and it causes nothing but delusion and misguidance.

  • It's an interesting question... One of the more Interesting examples of this was kristen wiig in skeleton twins, she had it.

  • The word in moral. Is a perception it differs from person to person. I’m sure there’s somebody out there that thinks what you do is immoral. No matter what it is. I’m sure there’s people who think this app is immoral. There’s people who think women not covering their face is is immoral... So I guess I would have to ask what is your perception of morality? And then I can answer the question

  • Whatever addiction you have I think people should still be held accountable for they’re actions

  • Sex addiction is a real illness that results in immoral behavior.

  • Usually yeah.

  • No its not. I have sex addiction triggered from child sex abuse and abandonment. Contrary to belief i dont cheat. My sex addiction is triggered by the pain of breakups. So after a breakup i fuck women and get so aroused and horny my judgment is clouded. I feel a lot of pain and to get it to stop i have sex.
But sex addiction is not just having sex. Sometimes when triggered I will get depressed and masturbate 6 times a day or spend hours alone watching porn without getting dressed for the day until 2pm.

So if they are cheating sex addiction is not an excuse. Because if they love you they can masturbate and post about sex on GAG (like me) or wrote erotica ( like me). Cheating is always wrong. Not an excuse. There are outlets.

  • Yes, unless you are born a sociopath, everyone has impulse control. Sex addiction is just an excuse people use when they get caught cheating on a spouse. It is total BS.

    • Thank you sir

  • I would suggest that any person who was functionally normally could be said to have a sex addiction.
That is how our brains are wired and our hormones are driving us to want sex 24/7.
