Yes regular texting, and especially sexting, is some kind of relationship. It is really up to you both to decide what is cheating though. I prefer open relationships, so I'm very ok with my girlfriend having other partners, sexting, or real sex, as long as she stays honest and open about it with me. You can define whatever boundaries, rules, and expectations you want your husband. Cheating is breaking the trust.

I consider cheating to be any sexual or romantic interaction between two people outside of the relationship to be cheating. So yes, sexting being a sexual interaction, would count as cheating to me.
