It's not very common, but it exists. There was a guy from "classic porn" named George Payne who was essentially gay but had sex with women in porn for 15 years (mostly in scenes that also included other men). But that's the only immediate example I can think of.
There have been some bisexual porn guys (Jamie Gillis was famously bi), and perhaps some legit gay guys did a *couple* of straight movies for pay, but the truth is that gay guys make a lot more money making gay movies than they do making straight movies, so there's little motivation to do it for money, especially today (that probably was less true in the 70s/early 80s when George Payne was working).
It might be more common with women, who tend to be more sexually fluid anyway, but it's still pretty rare. Even women who only do girl/girl scenes can still make more money than a guy does in porn - though not as much as a woman who does boy/girl scenes.
Even "gay4pay" is rarer than you'd imagine. There have been plenty of porn girls with long careers who have never done a girl/girl scene (meaning it isn't a requirement), and the majority of men who have done gay scenes were/are bi or gay.
I'm sure along the way there have been a few desperate-for-money people who have taken gay4pay offers (they often had bigger problems, such as drug addiction), but, again, it's definitely the exception to the rule.
