Is taking someone’s virginity a big responsibility?

The problem is with the premise of the question which assumes the the virginity is a big deal. We've constructed this thing where virginity is some sort of shrine and yet we create workarounds that are bizarre. Anal and oral and toys aren't losing virginity but magically when a penis enters a vagina virginity vanishes? Therefore gays and lesbians never lose their virginity. 🤔

Anyway, I think that we do a disservice with the focus on virginity.

To your question. I think the big responsibility is that the person in the couple that hasn't had sex is made to feel comfortable and also receives pleasure.

Yes and no. In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal. But I do think the person should be cognizant that they're setting tone for future expectations for that person. So if you aren't going to make it special for them you should probably leave them the f*** alone.
