The Nordic model approach to prostitution is an approach to prostitution legislation.

It consists in the fact that prostitution is illegal, but only the man who pays a prostitute goes to prison, while the prostitute, in addition to not going to prison, will receive subsidies from the government, because she is considered a "victim of gender violence".

I think the Nordic model is gendered nonsense. Likewise in my country prostitution is legal in registered brothels but not street prostitution. As you point out a girl can work through the internet quite easily and that can be legal too if she registers.

If a girl wants to earn money through sex good luck to her. There will always be some girls that do. It is never going to be free because no gov't is going to pay them and they certainly are going to do it for nothing.

There is an increasing number of men who prefer to pay for sex. The amount you would pay at a bar to pick up is going to be a lot more than the cost of half an hour at a brothel and the brothel is a sure thing which a bar never is. That is a crux point.

There is the unique aspect of getting to choose who you will fuck that you won't get at a bar or on tinder. You can have sex when you want it and that is a distinct plus.

Plus you won't have someone coming after your assets in 5 years time.

Overall it is a mature decision to allow men to have paid sex and allow girls to provide paid sex. It is going to happen anyway and always has.

Men are less likely going to expose themselves for sex so they will demand more from the prostitutes while giving very little information about themselves. This allows serial killers, murderers and abusive sadists access to desperate women who will jump at the chance of a large payment.

They also encourage human trafficking because men will no longer report any crime because they are also committing crime. They will ignore pleas of abused victims because reporting that would mean prisons for the men.

It's pretty dumb to criminalized prostitution in any form. If you let the clients go and criminalized the prostitutes then you will simply make more obscure and open the flood gates for scams.

The clients will give up personal information for access to sex and ended losing money, reputation, marriage and even their lives.

To end something like prostitution, you eliminate the demand. If there's no demand, there's no supply. So by arresting those that create demand, you eliminate the ones who provide the demanded service.

Basically but more women are involved in prostitution than is widely admitted.

When I was in college a lot of the girls worked as high class escorts, strippers etc to pay for college, they made a lot of money. Then there was girls with sugar daddies.

If you are going to decriminalise prostitution why still persecute the customers, makes no sense. Most of them are just guys who want sex willing to spend their money to get it.
