  • yea there's a huge gap.

when you're 18 you're basically still a teen mentally. you act the same as a 16 yo basically just slightly more mature. probs still in the 'fuck you mom' stage, still really impulsive, don't really know how to manage "adult life" much. people don't even treat you like one anyways. you probs also don't like exactly the same stuff as 22 yos, don't really live the same, don't really care about a lot of stuff like they do, still depend on your parents 100%, exc...

when you're 22, you're basically a full adult with a slightly younger side but your basically mature i guess, even boys. you got your shit together, you almost def live alone or with roomies & depend completely on yourself almost. you got probs a job, and all the responsabilities an adult has. you're probs pretty mature with like alcohol & stuff, and do kinda more "mature" stuff for fun. you also typically care about your health, how happy you are, and about your grades if your still in college, and have more grown up "hobbies" and stuff

    • this question is making me feel so old lol :/

  • There is a mountain of difference. At 18 you are either still in high school or just out of it, which means you have not learned how to be an adult yet. At 22 you kinda know who you are and, ideally, have been on your own for a while. The maturity level is different. That same difference from 22 to 26 is not as big because the life stage is the same, but the difference is huge from 18-22 because of the changes in life going on at that point.

  • A lot changes. Most people get their independence at 18 or so and by age 22, they are much more solidly grounded.

    • Some dreamers will say it is four inches.

  • Being able to buy alcohol.

    • In my country you can already buy it when you are 18 lol

    • Thats great. Im jealous. A bunch of puritans ruined to fun for us in the USA

  • I think so. Every year added is a year of experience in this crazy thing called life so someone that is 22 will be a bit different than someone 18.

  • If you live independently at 22 and were dependent at 18, yes.

  • Yep, more mental than physical

  • Yeah, kinda. It's not totally unacceptable, but certainly the 22 year old matured a lot and is in a different life-stage than the 18 year old.

  • Can be. But it doesn't have to be. 22 year olds tend to think more rationally.

  • Nope not really

  • At 18 you can buy tobacco at 22 beer and liquor and wine

  • Sometimes. Depends on how someone matures.

  • Not so much

  • Yes. In every possible way.

  • A woman's SMV drops by probably 80% over that period of time.
