Is waiting for sex to happen organically the best way? Or is giving it a little push better?

It's the man's job to push things along, and a woman's job to put on the brakes and slow things down if she's uncomfortable. But this system breaks down if either side stops doing their part. Women don't want you to push too hard, but they DO want you to push at least a little. It makes them feel desired and wanted. So, yes, you need to make SOME effort, but you also need to respect her when she puts on the brakes too. Don't over do it either. Constant gentle pressure is the key.

Depends on who’s answering, for a woman, she would want to starve a bruh to earn it. For men its his view on her end result, a man knows whether it’s a woman he would wanna to spend his life with or just some short term fun, so, as a man unless it’s someone you really value and want to spend life with, why wait? Organically, you should have an indication from a consenting partner that they are interested in having sex. If you see no sign at all, "pushing" sex to happen is just a no-go to me. That enters territory where I would just not want to be.

What you CAN do in a situation where you're not seeing a sexual progression is have a friggin conversation? Like, we have words, language, and communication skills for a reason?

Let it happen naturally (organically). Past experience had probably taught girls that the harder a guy pushes for sex, the the faster he's gone once he gets it.
