  • Watching porn is not considered cheating in every relationship, but it can be in some relationships. It depends on the relationship parameters the partners have agreed on.

Cheating is, at its simplest, actions that cross the agreed-upon boundaries in a relationship. If both parties agree to not view porn and one person does in secret, then in that circumstance, yes, it could be considered cheating.

But watching porn isn't in itself a betrayal, The betrayal happens when one person knowingly crosses a line they've agreed not to cross in the relationship.

Of course, many couples never explicitly discussed porn before entering into the relationship and this lack of transparency can also lead to hurt feelings. Often, this question hasn't even been discussed, so when the one partner finds out the other is watching porn, they feel betrayed.

  • No, just be discrete about it.

  • I don't think it is. Otherwise reading erotica, thinking about imaginary people, etc. would also be cheating in this matter. But more importantly, porn is bad if it becomes an addiction and interferes with their relationship.

  • Not for me but in the ned it depends on what you said before about it

  • Nah not cheating but I don't like it since I'd rather my partner get off to me then another woman

  • Only if watching romance movies is cheating too, I know that many girls like those movies.

  • According to me? No. Nor is it for my wife. We talked about it years ago and periodically re-check about it. She doesn't mind. And we sometimes watch together. But this isn't something I do on a regular basis.

  • ABSOLUTELY not. Don’t be ridiculous. How can anyone think that?

  • Together it's great.. alone then there maybe issues.

    • No, no, no. Alone is OK. Together is OK.

  • No, I don't think it is

  • I don't think it is cheating, especially if you watch it on occasion, but it shouldn't become a staple in your sex life.

  • No, it isn't.

  • Not cheating but I wouldn't like it, I wouldn't see why she would have too watch porn

  • Watching porn is not cheating, but if it takes away from the couple's intimacy it's not a good thing.

  • No, I had an ex that got all wound up watching porn, so the more she watched the more often we had sex.

  • Not if it's occasional.

  • no it's not but it's sex deprivation if she uses it to get off rather than having sex with me.

  • No its not.

  • No but I could see how somebody would get pissed

  • Let's say you have vaginal intercourse, anal , oral and slept naked with each other and had orgasm. It's cheating.

Let's say you you use contraceptives. it's cheating.

Let's say you do anyone of these it's cheating.

Let's say. You both are online for an orgasm. This is where it gets complicated. It is cheating because eventually a person is having orgasm because of another person.

Let's say one of them is doing it for money. It's still cheating.

Let's say the other person pre-recorded it for you and sent it to you. It's still cheating.

Let's say the other person isn't available for you. so , you find an online friend. It's still cheating irrespective of weather it's for money or not.

Or you don't want to spend time on finding someone. So , you find some pre recorded videos of people like them. It's still cheating.

    Hence, Watching porn is cheating.

    • This guy is completely insane, wrong, & totally twisted. Don’t listen to @villainfantasy because he obviously shouldn’t be weighing in on this one.

    • @Tamera952 why? How am I wrong? Give me one sensible reason. Give me proper reasoning. You just wanted an opinion. This is what I think. Even if I sit here and write essays all my life people will still do what they want to do. I just wanted you to know that it doesn't matter what you choose you are still human and you should be respected unless you are are delusional, irresponsible ànd without lack of virtues like honesty and integrity because if you don't have them , you are a human impostor. Lower than an animal.

    • You’re wrong because obviously everything on your laundry list = cheating. I think it’s too explicit & extreme. I understand it’s somewhat subjective, but you leave no room for nuance. You really think watching porn by yourself constitutes cheating?
