Ladies have you noticed weight gain after taking birth control?

Depends on his age. If he’s still young, he could very well change his mind down the road on more kids. I wouldn’t go that route unless he’s absolutely sure because reversals don’t always work. There is a non-hormonal copper IUD that is supposed to be very effective if the hormones are what worries you. I’ve been thinking about asking my gynecologist about it myself.

most birth control for females is hormone based so fluctuations in hormones and weight etc can happen.

That's what birth control is for, it helps regulate your hormones, regulate your period. There is a possibility of a little bit of weight gain
