Latinas or Asians, what do guys like?

I’ve noticed a lot of guys bring up that they want either Latinas or Asians at my school. I wanted to know which one do guys (majority) prefer off looks/appearance alone (exclude culture, personalities, etc). I searched up random girls TikTok’s and Instas. Just average girls that aren’t popular (like celebs) that you’d find at school or the market.

Those girls don't look like the average girls you'd see at a school or a market. I imagine they are trying to chase attention/clout, and I wouldn't be surprised if guys are flocking towards them. I don't know if that's average nowadays, but out of those pictures, none of them give me the amazing vibes. In reality, if we're talking about purely physical attractiveness, Latinas and Asians have been the ones I've been most attracted to in my life, and I wouldn't be able to pick one or the other.

I picked those photos because many of the Latinas look like girls at my school. The Asians also resemble a lot of girls I’ve seen at theme parks, grocery stores, etc. This is my area though, so this is very relative :)

I'd pick Asian just for the fact that I am Asian and I want to represent my own race but at the end of the day, it really shouldn't be this shallow lol. But I get it, you're dating and you're still young.

If you're using TikTok as your base of insight, your results are going to be warped by whatever gives immature men titillation. This typically means much sluttier girls that the guys are jerking off to; not actually the women that (decent) men want to date.

Generally speaking, I would give Asian girls an edge mainly due to their hair and more consistently slim figures, but I'm more likely to share cultural values with a Latina, and there's more than enough variation to make it roughly an even playing field. Looks alone don't make someone worth dating, ever.

Well then how does it feel to know that a lot of the dudes here would have prefered Latinas over Asians? ! Not a smart question to ask if you asked me. I tried this when I was younger. It could have went either way. If there were more guys wanting Latinas, you'd be hurt (even though it's not always representative of real life though) . If the other way, then you'd be happy (temporarily). In any case, I've seen a lot of half Asians growing up as my classmates and so I really thought that most white dudes wanted Asian beauties. Now, I don't know what happend, but I feel like a great majority just like their own kind. Closed minded in my opnion, but it is what it is. I can't control that and neither can you. And race has always been a sticky subject because not like you can CONTROL your genetic line (aka race)!

I come from a latin household and Spanish speaking grandparents. I just happen to have a lot of East Asian blood other than European and Indigenous/Native.

Out of the ones posted ("I'm assuming that the last 4 are the Asian examples) I only like the first Asian picture (picture number 5). It is because of facial structure/features for me. I like that one's face shape and I like how skinny and wimpy she looks. The choice of black and white outfit that isn't revealing is good too. But the first 4 pictures (Latina examples) I find all of their faces attractive from those examples. Anyways, a girl only needs a 5 or better in looks for me to date her, but she needs an 8 or higher in personality for me to date her. The personality is often the best part of Asians in my experience. For me it is usually the case that Hispanic (Latina) women have the looks AND personality that I like, White women have the looks, but rarely the personality, Asian women have the personality, but rarely the looks for what I like. But it is more common for an Asian to be dateable due to a combination of acceptable looks and a good personality than a White woman with looks to have an acceptable personality (VERY rare).

It’s kind of different I think for me. Looks wise for sure it typically goes White > Asian > Black & Hispanic. Personality wise the person just has to be educated and I don’t really care about their ethnicity, as long as they hold themselves properly :)

Personality wise most Latina and Asian women have been very easy for me to get along with, but for White women, more than half of the ones I have known IRL I don't like their personalities and for a relationship, having compatible morals and outlook on life really matters. I’ve dated a black guy and multiple white guys. I’ve never dated an Asian guy but I’ve flirted with one and got close enough to know him. I am Hispanic myself and have been around Hispanics my entire life from friends to family, classmates, and coworkers. I’ve somehow never dated a Hispanic guy but have also been close enough to know how it would somewhat be like. The main reason I somehow end up with white guys the most is because they’re rare where I’m from. They have the lighter eyes, the lighter hair, and more foreign features to me.

YES. Yes. The great majority are. Hispanics don’t usually discriminate, and I know many Latinas who love white guys.

I can't believe some of the answers of the men around here. I think it really depends on the AGE, HEALTH STATUS, etc. of the individual. There's a lot of Asian women (that were born in Asia and moved here when they were adults), that just PREFER to stick to their own race, maybe because of family pressure, etc. I have seen the same with white people too. They tend to stick to their own because of family pressure, what they see on T. V. or what they've grown up with/used to. Growing up, I saw A LOT of half Asian, half white classmates, both in school, at my church, things like that. So then I got to thinking that race wasn't going to be a problem when dating because I tended to like white guys too! I LOOOVE their lighter features, it was just a physical turn on for me! In fact, my first crush on T. V. was a white guy. But hey, if they like the Latinas (which I don't understand, because I was never really into the angry looking type of woman with an attitude. Met a few actually), then I guess I cannot control that. I just don't understand it though! Us Asians pretty much have the SAME dark black hair and eyes just that we tended to have straighter hair vs. a lot of Latinas I've seen have curly hair. And when it came to skin color (sometimes, they're light as I said because of the cream they put), Latinas are usually darker skinned than Asians or East Asians! But yeah, I cannot control that so if they like it, then that's cool, what can I do? ! By the way, I was ENGAGED to a white man in the past but he was crazy lol.

You’ll be completely fine in South Texas. I actually live in South Texas and I met my long term white boyfriend here. He doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish but he got along just well with me and my other Latin friends. He also attends a Latin school where almost 90% of students are Hispanic. He’s had zero trouble!

I live in the suburbs around downtown San Antonio — never had that issue, ever. I’ve never felt unsafe. It’s very easy to live here. Basically everyone, especially young Latinas know fluent English and some know Spanish (not all). The only Latinas I’ve met who can’t speak English are older or have recently immigrated. But most young Latinas are US Citizens, just like me. :)

If you want a better picture, think of when you go to a major store like HEB, there will be street vendors sometimes parked outside with Mexican foods. Chicano music is typically playing everywhere you go, especially in stores. If you attend university here (specifically a public one), 8 out of 10 girls will be Latin. I can tell you from experience lmfao. Almost every restaurant is Tex-Mex or Latin somewhat other than American food chains. It’s extremely cultured down here in South Texas, at least in San Antonio 🇲🇽

It really depends on the area and type of Latina you are speaking to. I know Latinas who are only 17 and speaking of marriage, and having children straight after school. I know Latinas who plan on pursuing higher education and also marrying. But there are also Latinas that aren’t very educated and engage in the hook-up culture.

Most girls I know are very loyal (like incredibly..) but passionate and care a quite lot when it comes to marriage, romance, and their boyfriends. They are extremely possessive though. I’m still quite young so I can’t speak upon Latinas that are adults 25-30.

Yeah I don’t think they usually care. My parents gave zero fs on who I was with as long as he had a plan to take care of me. More traditional leaning Hispanic families (usually) want the best provider for their daughter. If my boyfriend didn’t seem to have what it takes to care for me, my parents would’ve booted him out. They still expect a level of responsibility out of the guys who try to date their daughters.

Not gonna lie, they prefer their daughters dating white or light Hispanic men. There is sadly still colorism present (especially in older Latinos). I one time tried to go on a date with a black mixed boy and my grandparents were completely against it. They said he’d cheat on me and is “dirty”. ☹️ But luckily you’re white, you shouldn’t have a hard time.

I’m not personally familiar but I know white guys who grew up in that area. They’re older though like middle aged but are fluent in Spanish from growing up there. They have white wives though (somehow? Lol).

@Asker, in many ways you can! Maybe it's because a lot of East Asians have epicantic folds in their eyes and to them that is not attractive. It's usually a superficial thing at first whether you want to admit it or not. Also, I don't think you'd be attractive to older people, that's another example that you can control who you are attracted to lol, unless you (or the person in question) has some "Daddy Issues" as they call it! Anyway, I really believe there are reasons for people doing things. This includes attraction!

But I'm not your "typical" Filipina because I don't have dark skin and I don't have the flat nose or the "maid looking" type of face! I know I am generalising a lot here but yeah, a lot of the Filipino culture, they also like to whiten their skin tone and use cream. I didn't have to do that thankfully. I am also not short. Some Filipinas are indeed short but not as short as some Mexican women. I've seen some Mexican women (Native American ones) that are like 4''10/4''11. I am short for a white woman/caucasian woman (heck I've even seen some 5''7 East Asian women!), but I'm 5''2 1/2. I thought I was 5'3 even lol, but I checked my height and it's only 5''2. I also don't have the body of a Filipina or other wide birth/girth because I am pretty slender. I was especially this way when I was a teenager and in my 20's to early 30's. I've also been mistaken for a Korean or Japanese in the past, no joke. I'm just saying it goes to show that generalizing isn't always good but we do it anyway becuase we are lazy lol. In fact, when I first moved here to the U. S. some of my ignorant white/caucasian classmates thought I was Chinese. Sometimes, even now, people would mistake me for one of those dark skined chinese lol. I've been talked to in Madarin or Cantonese before lol.

On average, Latinas happen to have that more than only other race or ethnicity.
