It's not an easy battleground for guys as we mature. We constantly joke around with eachother that, in any other context, would be horribly degrading and vicious. Yet, the defensiveness and the desire to be combative is not worht it when it comes to dating the opposite sex.
The ability for us to have girls laugh at us and not only not take it badly, but to even laugh right along with her can be a very powerful trait if understood and executed properly. For instance, if she calls you lazy and you laugh and say yeah I am! That's not laughing at yourself that's just accepting being a slob. But if you get a test back and you forgot to write your own name on the test and she laughs at you and you laugh back that's a good move. Basically, being able to see the humor that she sees even when it's at your expense is like a breath of fresh air in a world where guys are constantly popping off on their girlfriends abotu how dare they laugh and/or getting insecure when women laugh at them.
This has nothing to do with some random girl who for some reason like to ridicule and laugh at guys. It's about not taking yourself too seriously and being able to take the advantage of a mistake to be even more attractive. Let's endeavor into an example.
Jimmy and his girlfriend rush back into dorm and start taking each other's clothes off. When Jimmy is about to have sex he realizes his roommate is in the bed right across the room and suddenly can't get it up. Jimmy's girlfriend starts laughing and Jimmy starts jacking off furiously trying to get it up. She gives him head and it takes so long and he's so nervous just to get it done that he comes right away. Realizing he gave her horrible sex, for weeks he continues to give her sex as he goes into it worried he will give her bad sex. A snowball effect. Jimmy's girlfriend started cheating on him and they break up about a month or two later.
Jimmy, why didn't you just blame it on your roommate's ugly face killing your boner instead of start panicking and fighting the laughter rather than adding to it??
John is having sex with his girlfriend, but realizes he needs to run to the restroom for a quick sec. As he does he slips on his ps4 controller and falls flat on his ass. He's hurt with her dick flying every which way. The girl sits up in bed and starts laughing. John could give into the incredibly embarresing situation and call his girlfriend a ***** for laughing or just stay silent and try to power through sex despite the fact that he's too embarresed to enjoy it or he could laugh himself. John, clever bastard that he is uses it to his advantage and says it hurts! and she says where and John says here then here then here and soon she's giving smiling coyly then giving him head then suddenly they're having impromptu sex on the floor.
It's harder if you're a guy who relies on his massive ego to attract women, but it can be done. Just realize that it takes a truly confident man to be comfortable looking like the fool and when someone laughs at your don't take it as something you didn't do or that you did wrong, but rather take it entirely as a response to a funny situation that is actually outside of you despite the fact that you committed it.
What Girls & Guys Said
1 1I love the way both the examples are about sex :). Also good take I never understood why guys were so touchy about girls laughing at them, but I guess you'd have to have a dick to understand ;)
Thank you! I was thinking about asking a question on here about whether or not laughing at ourselves was a lost art or something. I shrug and laugh at myself a lot cause.. shit was funny lol it's okay and some people be like "stop demeaning yourself" and I'm like "I was just joking... relax, I'm good. Smile, damn"
