Men, does it ever bother any of you how so many women are queer/gay nowadays and how you almost never see any straight women left out there?

Doesn't that worry some of you as straight men? That straight women seem to be an endangered species? That so few women seem to be sexually attracted to men anymore. I read one study that said "20% of women now identify as queer/bi." If true, that means ONE-FIFTH of women are gay nowadays!

As a heterosexual male, that leaves a large population of women completely undateable. At least, undateable to straight men who have self-respect and dignity. Yes, I know some nasty disgusting men out there are into lesbians and cuckolding and being abused and emasculated by women who want nothing to do with them or men as a whole. But this question is for the heterosexual men, not the "pansexual" deviant men who are into being cuckolded by lesbians and other things like that.

WHY THE HELL ARE THERE SO FEW HETEROSEXUAL WOMEN ANYMORE? Just non-straight women; THE women are sexually attracted to other women; I. E, not into men/you.

5.6% of women are lesbians this has risen. As for all the women who identify as Bisexual historically this was always a thing though how many women these days are actually Bisexual remains a mystery , historicaly lesbian and Bisexual women just married men and had kids. Many women in their teens and twenties would like to be gay or Bisexual because its trending but aren't, much like how you see all these different young women identifying as various genders and sexualitys so they can be different, special, unique but at the same time following uniformly fashion. Many women also pretend to be Bisexual to get male attention.

Truthfully what really should depress you is that 40% of all women in us are either overweight or obese. I mean if 20% of women are gay i would hope the majority come out of the percentage of fat women. 1in4 women are on anti-depressants. 25% are single mother's. Which means an attractive single Hetrosexual childless woman aged 16-30 that is a fat, mentally ill or a single mother is hard to come by. Now those statistics are depressing.

Gay woman here. I'll be the first to admit, but there is a much higher percentage of woman that identify with LGBTQ+ on G@G that I've noticed in real life.

Why? I have no clue to be honest.

I do want to say though, I don't think the numbers of gay/bi women are any more than they used to be throughout history. I just think that it is much more socially acceptable to be open about one's sexuality.

Also the math doesn't add up. 7.97 billion people in the world and women make up roughly 49.6% of the global population, giving us 3.95 billion women. Of that you said 1/5th (20%) identify as queer meaning 790 million women across the world. Let's use the USA as an example. The USA has the highest LGBTQ population in the world with an estimated 7.1% (23.4 million people) out of a total 330 million. Of that, the eatimate is around 15 million men and 8.5 million women who identify as LGBTQ. So in the USA alone, queer women make up just 2.4% of the US population, and 4.9% out of the US population of women.

@Sirenboobzilla It's not of all people, all around the world. That percentage accounts for young Western people, Millennials but also especially Gen Z adults (18-24). I'm sure there's a lot less gay women in China and India and less gay women over 40. The point is, the number is rising to an alarming degree. Even if what you said was true (I don't know what data you got it from), then 5% of American women being gay is a big deal. And that's 5% of ALL American women. The 20% came from younger generations like I said (10-15% for Millennials and 20% for Zoomers), and that's where one-fifth comes from. One out of five women being undateable and incompatible for most young men in the Western world or America, is alarming!

I also looked at the Gallup. Might even be the same poll that says it's doubled over the previous generation. If it is, right at the very top it says 7.1% of the US population identify as LGBTQ. One thing I notice when looking through the different generations polled is that it tends to double each time. You get baby boomers at 2.6%, then gen x at 4.6, millennial at 10.5 and gen z at 20.8. If there's one thing that repeats throughout history is that tradition will always give way to progression. Not saying it's neither good nor bad progression. I have a theory. Homosexuality has existed since ancient times; ancient Greece being among the most famous examples. It was openly practiced for centuries. Just a little over a thousand years ago the Catholic church went on a tirade making it a sin. I'm definitely not religious, but even I know that Homosexuality is never mentioned as a sin in the Bible, it was interpreted as such by man. I theorize that, as each generation pulls farther out of the reach of religion it grows closer to just liking people for people (pansexuality) among other things

Now Netflix themselves are starting to fall prey to that very thing. People subscribe to see their favorite shows and movies without commercials for cheap. Now Netflix has been raising their prices and dishing out Original content, but is being plagued by other streaming services which offer cheaper options. How there's no justice, no fairness, no meritocracy and success or failure is almost entirely dependent on how you were born to and where and when you ended up in the world. The quality of women has gone down a lot in the last 30 years and this is just a symptom of that. I posted a question once about how in traditional societies there's almost no homos/lesbians but there's lots in 1st world countries. I was told that it's just because such people get oppressed in those traditional societies but there's been experimental results that showed when you give mice everything they could possibly want (endless food, safety, comfort) they start turning homo and violent. Most of the males become soft and weak homosexuals. Most of the females become masculine and lesbian. Apparently it's something that happens when you don't have enough responsibilities. Or as the old timers used to say, "idle hands are the devil's playground". Of course, the know-it-alls of the latest generation will say that's all nonsense and that people were always homo/lesbian. Haven't noticed that much irl. I've had a few times I've been turned down because she's lesbian, but only rarely. And I'm dating a bi woman now so they're not off the table, but I know different people have different standards. Just keep in mind the smaller your circle the less women in your pool, regardless what type your looking for. But "straight" is still by large the majority. I would have far far less luck approaching random women to find a lesbian (or bi) one, than I previously had approaching random women to find a straight one.

There is reason to believe that part of the rise in identification as non-straight is fueled by people who seek social approval by moving higher up the intersectional stack.
