Sexual Health Men, how would you feel about male doctors examining your girlfriend's breasts and vagina?

Are you okay with this or do you feel it is wrong? I personally feel it is wrong and that only female doctors should examine women in this way. As men we know deep down that these doctors are men first and job second. And you can go on the internet and read numerous cases of male doctors losing their licence for sexual misconduct. And I can even link you to websites where many women admit that it really turns them on being examined by a male doctor. Not all women, of course, but many do. And for any smart ass who says "What if the female doctor is a lesbian," the difference is that most femlae doctors are not lesbians so it's unlikely that your girlfriend would end up with a lesbian doctor. And secondly, I've only ever heard of one case of a lesbian doctor sexually abusing a female patient, where as 99.9% of sexual abuse within the medical profession is committed by male doctors. So obviously there is a big difference. I've also come across women who said that they noticed their male doctor had an erection when he was examining them. Obviously he was getting a secret thrill. Would you be okay with that if it was your own girlfriend or wife? So men, how do you feel about it?

They are just a doctor. Nothing special. But I would understand why women would be more comfortable with a female doctor. I would prefer a male urologist, but I wouldn't complain if I had to go with a female one.

I'm not being perved on. I go to the doctors often enough with "lady problems" and trust me, there is nothing arousing about having to put your fingers up a vagina full of blood and feel for cysts- which are not pleasant to touch either. No, I'm not naive and ignorant actually. There are 40,365 sex offenders on the Sex Offender's Register (of which not all are male) and there are approximately 27.6 million men in the UK... So, MOST men are perverted and with molest women you think? Obviously, there are some men who aren't on the Register I'm sure, but if you work it out, 0.14625% of the male population in the UK are (as you put it) creepy perverts who will sexually assault you. There are around 143,996 male doctors in the UK. So the number of male doctors that will do whatever you imagine most doctors do is actually very very small. Around 211 to be precise. I'm not ignorant I just have primary knowledge and experience. Also, I have many female family members who have experienced going to male gynaecologists and would not recommend it if they thought I would be put at risk in anyway. You on the other hand have no experience and have relied on secondary sources to make your argument. So, who's a brainwash sheep?

They're asking you about pus, blood, cysts, constipation, diarrhoea, hormones. Doctors need to have empathy for their patients, and try to make them better. I could, but what's the point when there's a perfectly qualified doctor who I've seen for most of my life and knows me as a person as well as my medical history- especially when my own mother is in the room. My mother is protective of me and if there was even an inkling of doubt in her mind, I would see a different doctor. And no, my mother isn't part of some 'brainwashed regime' she just has a good mind and common sense. It's already been done way back when we had children, the doctor was male and married but I could tell he was uncomfortable examining my wife and I was right there, It felt awkward to me also but I knew he was a professional

We were having multiple births and needed to go quite often since it was a high risk type of pregnancy
It's a shame they don't have more female doctors available to do these exams on pregnant women. Many years ago it was only midwives who treated women in this way, but eventually male doctors decided to stick their noses in and take over. People are so use to it that they don't recognize it for what it is.

I was watching a program some years ago, a talk show, where a young woman was on. She talked about how she was a prostitute and a legal brothel in America and how she still had sex with men while she was 6 months pregnant. She said that some of these men were gynecologists. That's right. There were gynecologists who travelled and paid good money to have sex with a young woman who was 6 months pregnant.
