Men, would you use birth control other than condoms?

I've always wondered why the responsibility of pregnancy prevention is on the woman's shoulder who can only have a child every 9 months, in comparison to the man who can impregnate 3 women a day.

Am I mad about it? No, but it also poses the question, why hasn't a male contraception other than the condom been invented?
All of these side effects are already in womens contraceptives.
All of these side effects are already in women's contraceptives.
As you see here, these are some reasons why male contraception doesn't exist, because of the side effects.

1. Women's contraception includes ALL of these side-effects already and MORE, but for men, it's 'too dangerous, yet no contraception other than condoms do not have side effects for women.

2. Injectables already exist for women and a lot of women choose the injection, but again for men, it's a 'no go'. But it's fine for women to deal with all the side effects?

I personally believe both genders should have options for contraception other than condoms, men often complain about paying child support (even though they could've used a condom), and this would solve it as they get to take control of their body, just as women do.

**Again I have no issue at all taking responsibility for my womb, and making sure I do not have a child, I'm just putting this out there as there may be men who do not trust other women/want to take control themselves without having to use a condom.**

Any rude comments will be ignored and reported, I'd like to have a civil discussion on this even if people disagree with me.

  • Not anything hormonal. I'm pretty sure if we did then we would stop being "men.". So our partners wouldn't like us anymore. Women are attracted to the manliness factor, and that exists because of our male hormones.

  • Contraception of all kinds in wrong

  • I would yes. condoms can make sex less enjoyable at times

  • The side effects can't be worse than 18 years of child support right?

  • why not? I got no quams about it

  • Hell no. You have the pussy and choice. Wanting extra shit out of the man!

    • Wanting extra out the man? A lot of men here, and a study also found that 82% of men would be willing to do this. It benefits the man as they do not have to risk having sex with a woman whos lying about being on birth control, and also it gives them another option other than the condom. You're also saying that as if men don't make demands either, pressure women into letting you not use a condom, and saying it feels better to finish inside and guilting the woman into being on BC. Goes both ways buddy, and i hate to break it to you but a lot of men are for it.

    • 82 percent of men want pussy! The other 18 are.. Anyway, I know extra and you're all about it ;)

  • Do you trust a guy that says he's on contraception? The best thing for you is to take control yourself. You're the one that's gets pregnant and carries that child for 40 weeks. Condoms are the best choice for men. It has a spermicide in it

    • Yes, I do because I don't engage in hook-up culture, so I would know and trust my boyfriend is on contraception.

  • Let me ask you for an honest answer and I have no reason why you wouldn’t give one. So, if it were the men that got pregnant and not women, would you willingly take birth control? I mean if you don’t care to do it now when you can get pregnant, I am sure you wouldn’t if you never could get pregnant.

    • Yes I would, because I wouldn't want to impregnate a woman and have to deal with paying child support. You also misread my take completely, I even put it in bold so I wouldn't get silly replies like yours, I do not mind at all currently, taking responsibility and I do when I am sexually active. But if I were a man, id still not want to have a child so yes id take preventive measures.

    • I am sorry if I misread your question since there have been many posted after the Roe Vs Wade thing. I am not opposed to make contraceptives and would use them. If both people did then it would be very low chance of pregnancy

  • I’ve been wanting there to be male birth control options besides condoms for over 20 years

  • No I wouldn't. I only use condoms. In my experience none of them broke.

I don't wish to poison my body with "medicine" that prevents pregnancy geared towards men.

I feel as if birth control has lingering side effects that can be passed to your offspring.

If I get a girl pregnant I would own up to it like a man should.

  • I would if there was something available. But in my day other than celebacy or masturbation there wasn't anything.

    • Then at age 33 I got CUT. A Vasectomy... no more sperm.

  • The pull out method is birth control

  • Its on womens shoulders, because you can get pregnant.

I dont have to use contraception. I dont have a sex life.

  • Wemen have eggs, and women are conceives, so they need BC, equipment to avoid pregnancy if they don't like kids but men's can either wear condom or pull out to avoid pregnancy

  • if a male contraceptive worked perfectly where we had complete control of getting girls prego do you know how outraged women would be in general? a lot of women count on “oops babies” cuz most guys with kids wouldn’t want kids if they had a choice in the matter.

  • Yes I would

  • There is a male birth control pill in development. I don’t know how many men will actually use it when it hits the market but I’m imagining every guy who doesn’t want to use a condom saying “Trust me. I’m on the pill”. Lol

  • Why is the responsibility of pregnancy prevention on the woman's shoulders? Because women have all the rights and choices when it comes to pregnancy (my body, my choice), so they should also bear the responsibility. That's kind of the bottom line. But let's drill into it a bit.

If a woman gets pregnant she has choices. She can choose to continue with the pregnancy and have the child, and she has zero obligation to consult the father when making that choice. She doesn't even have to let him know she is pregnant or that he has a son or daughter after the child is born. She is perfectly within her legal rights to never let him know he has a child in the world, and many don't.

She can also decide she just doesn't want to be a mother and abort, at least for now (in the US), and it's a fact that 96% of abortions in the US are done as a matter of convenience to the mother.

    https://abort73.com/abortion_facts/us_abortion_statistics/

Men have no such choices. They can be forced to become a father against their will, or they can have their child aborted against their will. If the former, it will have a huge impact on his life, especially during the next 18 years when he will be obligated to serve as a father and a provider, and it costs more than a quarter of a million dollars to raise the average child to adulthood.

To sums things up, in the matter of reproduction men have responsibilities without rights or choices, whereas women have rights and choices but want to share the responsibilities. That's a common theme among today's women... rights without responsibilities.

When men choose not to use birth control they are risking a lot, more in fact than women are despite the prevailing perception. So it's seems pretty ironic when I hear women suggesting it's unfair that men don't take responsibility for birth control, and I would suggest that when men have more rights and choices in the matter then it would be a fair argument to make. But today it is not.

  • I’d possibly try it, assuming it has been in testing for years. Honestly I don’t know why one hasn’t been invented. I mean aside from STDs condoms are one of the worst things to use during sex. You would think someone would have come up w something for men to forego the condom as the feeling is so much better. That’s like jumping in a pool w a full latex rubber suit on. But looking at just how cute you are w those cute bunny ears I’m sure man y men would love to impregnate you.

  • Vasectomy but I still use condoms because I want less spreading risk
