Mother (A short story)

There was a small country of Indian subcontinent, called Bangladesh. There was a girl, Kajri whose parents had died in the Liberation War when she was about 15 years. She didn’t have any relatives so she started living at other people’s houses. There she was sexually abused number times by different people.

Then at the end Kajri found her last shelter in a brothel in the capital city Dhaka. When she arrived there, Kajri was pregnant but this didn’t want to abort the child like she had done the last two times. Her feelings of motherhood grasped her.
Kajri gives birth to her son and gives her son to a poor family. She promises to and pays all the money needed for his upbringing. During this time she falls in love for the first time with a journalist, Shoikot who is also a writer. He promised her to take her out of this place.
After a few months Kajri finds out that Shoikot has cheated her and he had only spent time with her to write a book. That day, when Shoikot comes to see her, she shoots him with her pistol.
Kajri gets arrested and her case is brought to court. The judge of the court is her son. She forgets everything. She only feels pleased and proud that even after being a prostitute, she has been able make her son an ideal person. Kajri feels proud to be brought to justice by her son. She feels successful as a mother.
Kajri feels successful that she has been betrayed, cheated and used by many people but she couldn’t punish them. At last she has been able to kill one cheater and she has at least been able to free this world from one cheater. Kajri knows that no girl would be cheated by him anymore."
