My boyfriend is insecure about is penis size?

My bf and I have been together for a while, and he has a big penis. It actually hurts a little when we have sex if I don't use any lubricants. His penis is 7.5 inches long and he is still convinced, no matter what I say, that it's small. He's really insecure about it and I don't understand why. How do I boost his confidence and make him realize that his penis is actually pretty big? Oh and Girls... I would appreciate if you have any tips on how to make it a bit less painful during sex, other than lubricants, because I've already tried that.

I think he needs to talk to someone who helps people with sexual insecurities. If he needs sex therapy, you can do that. He just needs to talk about it. Do you go down on him?

What I meant was like a sex coach, or someone that can help him feel more confident about himself sexually. Part of the problem is that he was an early bloomer, he hit puberty at 12, but his parents didn't twice him "the talk" until he was 14, and he was in a private Christian school, so he didn't even know what sex was. He had so I think he might've developed a bit of emotional trauma from all the confusion he experienced, it's such a horrible thing to shelter your kids like that.

I wish that was the case... the things is... is that he was really innocent until he was about 17, because his parents sheltered him and he was really innocent because of that. He has never watched p*rn in his life, but he heard all his guy friends talking about their huge dicks in high-school, and I guess that made him insecure about his size. He's not so innocent anymore, now that he's 25(mostly because he met me, lol), but he is still insecure about his penis size. And I don't know how to explain to him that 7 and 1/2 inches is actually really big. he just thinks I am just saying that to make him feel better, and he's not comfortable about me bringing someone other than me into the conversation, so I don't know what to do.

I've been with other guys but he is the one I gave my virginity, and he gave me his also. But I know just because of my girlfriends that I talk to and they talk about their guys' sizes, and I've done some research myself to try and convince him he's not small, but nothing seems to work.
