I can imagine how scary this is... But here's my opinion and y...

I would get it for her... And be freaking out every step of the way...

But if she's 15 then she's probably already exposed in some way to sexuality... And the fact she knows about dildos and what there for is proof of that...

You have more to lose in saying no then yes... If you don't then she's more likely to find her on way to get one or worse... Using objects that she could hurt herself on our just skipping toys for the real thing...

She obveously trusts you and is comfortable with you enough to ask so I think it's best to nurture that... Hopefully that will mean that when she feels ready for the next step she will tell you... Or at the last tell you after she had instead of hiding it from you...

Also I think it would help a lot of you just got her something simple and started by showing her how to clean it. Unlike another comment, I agree.. she can learn how to use it on her own...

As someone who strives to parent in a sex-positive way, I would. Also, it shows that you've done a good job making her comfortable discussing sexuality with you if she felt comfortable asking you for a sex toy for her birthday. I wouldn't go for the most obscene dildos... I'd get a simple vibrating dildo that isn't anatomically shaped or over-sized. Talk to her about how self-pleasure is healthy and normal when you give it to her.

How old is she? It's great she's comfortable enough to ask you for one but if you are going to get one, you should probably have a serious talk with her about when and how to use it and how to properly clean it.

considering the fact that she actually grew the guts to ask you for one instead of going behind your back and getting one and maybe even lie in the process of doing so, i think you should, at least it decreases the chances of her going out there and having sex with random people right
