My Story of Self-Diagnosing, and How I Learned My Lesson

Hi guys, I haven't been writing myTakes in a long time, so this situation that just happen to me. I decided to write about it and spread the word on the dangers of self diagnosing. Yes, in this story I am at part fault for my stupidity. But I think with what I did I think most of us would had made the same mistakes. So what happen? I literally possibly sent myself to the hospital, to a possible surgery or possible death. So lets start with this, I been showing symptoms of pnemonia, I had a prescription from old doctor (he recently move away to start his own clinic) for zithromax.

So keep in mind I never actually got diagnosed by a doctor at this point if I even had pnemonia. I just assume so I went and brought this presciption since this drug is use for pnemonia. It was a 6 pack of this drug and I so far took 4 pills of it. But here where my stupidity happen and after what happen to me (I explain soon). I found out from people complaining online what this drug does and it was pretty dangerous. I mean a lot of these people were upset and outrage what happen to them after using this drug. So here I show you some of the stuff that happen to these people.

So I should had look up what could happen if there was side effects first before taking it, if I saw most of these reviews and trust me a lot are pretty bad. Then I would had avoid this drug big time. Second mistake, I go on drugs.com and look up if taking pepto-bismo would be fine with this drug. Little did I know I should had never trusted drugs.com. It said there was no interactions between these two drugs. So I took these two drugs together. Then on Tuesday, going to the bathroom the usual and then I see blood and lots of it on the tissue paper. I make double sure yes, it was coming from my anal region.

I google for a long time and found out that medications that are use to treat upset stomach were NOT suppose be use with zithromax because it can cause loose stools and blood from rectum. So great I know I shouldn't fully blame drugs.com with my stupidity but I and like many other people trust this site and for them to not have this type of information up there is mind boggling. If I knew about pepto bismo side effects I would had never used it in the first place. I also found out that many people complain how zithromax causes upset stomach and makes your life uncomfortable when taking this drug in many ways. Now since today I been bleeding non stop I know I should had gone to the doctor ASAP but I feel embrassed because its all my fault this is happening to me.

But now since I just saw blood in the toliet after using it I am totally going straight to the doctor tomorrow morning with my friend. Moral of this mytake don't act like a doctor and treat yourself, go to a doctor first or many different doctors before the internet. The western world has a been issue where we like to first jump on drugs as soon as possible for anything and thinking google should be use for everything. When in reality after this experience I will no longer be a doctor to myself or anyone. I get how some people could be so stupid in trying to help themselves I feel more and more people are starting to distrust doctors. Just like police we question whether the doctor is really there to help you or there for the money. There many stories how people stop trusting doctors because doctors were stupid when treating them. So why wouldn't we go to the internet to help ourselves?

I keep everyone updated what happens to me but NEVER use google as a doctor first always go to a doctor you trust.
