Guys, name a compliment a woman has given you that you really liked?

I'm curious what things you find to be a good compliment from a woman. One the reverse, ever received one that you thought was not all that complimentary?

Have you ever had a woman be overly complimentary to you and if so how did it make you feel? By the answers so far, I'm guessing not but you never know...

  • I don't remember a case when I liked a compliment from a woman if I am completely honest. Most of them (compliments) were superficial (though I give them that almost all realized that I am not fond of that and didn't compliment my appearance or physical features although it sometimes felt like they wished to - to their credit they didn't). The rare ones that weren't superficial in their nature came from people who had some too few-sided or simply too positive view of me (maybe every time because of some infatuation, maybe not every time) and hence couldn't be accepted by me as genuine though the people certainly meant them genuinely or were convinced that they know about what they are talking. Yes, that I can give them too, they never made compliments to me that weren't even meant completely sincerely.

But well, actually for these two things I could like these compliments from the past, because both imply something actually rare and honorable nowadays. But I don't remember any more or less authentic formulations of them given in words because they meant nothing to me when I didn't know to value this honorability and rarity. I remember only the case when I was kind of complimented by a picture of me. The special thing about this picture was that what the girl has depicted was my supposed great future. It couldn't go as compliment I really liked, because I didn't like it back then, but now I like it for honorability and rarity of impulse that underlay this compliment.

  • Most men don't really care because society so rarely compliments men in the first place. I know that's shocking to women but its the truth and its always been the truth. The only time I've really received a compliment is when I'm dressed extremely well and everyone else looks like a slob.

    • I agree

    • Another fact that women could never imagine is most men never even touch each other or get hugs in general unless its their own partner or children. The fact is a man can't touch a woman because then He's a sexual harasser. Men can't touch children because then He is a pedophile. Men can't even touch other men because then He's gay. Actually the only men that are immune to this ridicule are gay men but honestly it get's tiring how society treats men like we're second class citizens.

  • You look especially nice today.

It's nice to encounter someone who's not a 20 something.

    • I've had women occasionally go a little over the top. I just go with it. I know I can shut it down if I need to but IMHO it's better to just let it run its course.

    • I see I see

  • Compliment I was given: sitting in a park just talking with a girlfriend, and as we got up to leave she said: “You made me wet.”

  • I can't think of one particularly memorable compliment. I'm sure they exist, but I'm not recalling them.

The most humorous one was in high school when a girl told me that I was the hottest man on the planet from the neck down. I replied that I couldn't say the same for her.

  • I dated an Asian woman who told me that I have a peaceful soul. I thought that was an extremely flattering compliment.

  • "You are bigger than i thought"

  • I just back into trying the dating game and the first girl I talked to called me cute. I was way to happy and excited by that, i dont hear that much and wasn't expecting it. I dont think i look great but far more girls than i ever thought possible have called me cute now. I've been called a sweetheart and kind of like that too. Being called sensative can give either way, and one think my friend meant to be a compliment really bothered me cause she said I had no standards, so later when I said that bothered me she said it was meant like I'm not super shallow and thing up on looks but I don't know

    • Yea im single for the first time in over a decade and it's so weird out here. What if a woman told you that you are beautiful - would that be a strange thing for a guy to hear?

    • I dont think it's tonweitd of a thing to say, but then again cute really got in my head the first time so I don't know. Did you tell a guy he's beutiful and he didn't take it well?

    • I want to because I really feel that way but I don't think it will be well received.

  • Well, as a guy with long blonde hair, I get compliments about my hair daily, but it never gets old.

  • I met a woman on Craigslist and we ended up having sex that night. When I was getting ready to go home she told me I was a "generous fucker." She told me all the men she has had sex with were self-centered and was only interested in getting themselves off.

    • That's a good one. I relate to her.

  • I had one woman who told me I was "courtly" and "academic". The courtly was a nice acknowledgement and I was more gratified she called me academic-I value education and my professional reputation highly. I was pleased with how she perceived me.
