So I'm trying this dating app thing out and I've got a couple of matches but I don't ever get a response. The one time I did get a response she told me I was boring. Now I've been told I'm a horrible texter before but no one has ever given me tips. Now I know that girls don't want to do "small talk" in the dms but if I get straight to the point I'm to "forward". Now ladies my questions for you are, is the a good one liner that has got your attention, or is there any thing I can do to eliminate the small talk but not "look" like the thirsty guy being to "forward." I have enough personality to hold my own inperson, but it's hard to put sarcasm into text.

If hookup, I can't be of much help. Hookups were never my jam.

If relationship, best bet is to actually read her profile and ask her a question about something she wrote. Shows that you actually took the time to read it and craft a message with a bit of thought behind it, rather than just the standard "hey whats up?"
