Below is my three page prologue of my other book which I am working on "Neutron Girl". This is intended to be a Graphic Novel, with each chapter being a stand-alone story about one week apart. I plan to expand a bit more detail in here, both in terms of describing Malia and Zack's physical appearance and describing what else is happening in the school scene in great detail, but this prologue doesn't need to be very long. It shows the main character, Malia, and her powers going slightly haywire, as time keeps slowing down more and more for her. It's dangerous to be a mutant.
Malia's name is pronounced "Ma-Leah".

Prologue:
Embers of Eden
Malia was her name. It was a pretty name for a pretty face, she supposed, but this was not her true form. Malia always hid her true form. What sort of bastard must her father be to do this to another being? She’d never met her father, but she thought he must be a mutant, since she was a mutant and Malia was sure she didn’t inherit the abilities from her mother. Her mother, Hannah Hano, had been raped by her father. An accident. No, the Maker makes no mistakes. Either my father’s a mutant, she thought, or he’s the devil himself, either way, if I ever meet him, I’ll kill him myself.
On her spare time, Malia had invented a ranking system to rate herself and other mutants’ abilities, with each class being about ten times as powerful as the class below and class one being an ordinary human. The mutants everyone made a big deal about in the news were all low tier, no better than class 2 or 3 to be sure. Malia was pretty sure she met her own definition of class nine, maybe even class ten. Yet she would never hurt another human. She despised her evil father’s actions. How could someone with this ability abuse it to hurt others? Child rearing should always be an act of total love. Sexuality should always be an act of total love.
She had been dating Zack Marshal for a year now. She trusted him. She’d never had a real boyfriend before now. She looked around the courtyard. There were ten minutes until home room. What could she say? It was another day in high school, except each moment lasted eternity. There were teens wearing designer jeans and teens not wearing designer jeans. Malia didn’t want to attract undo attention to herself, so she just dressed down every day. Today she was wearing white jeans and a plain yellow t-shirt with yellow flats. It wasn’t Labor Day, but white was her favorite color, so she wore white. Well, if you could call what she was wearing “clothes”. Malia didn’t need clothing because she could just change her appearance.
At least Zack Marshal thought she was hot. Then again so did every boy in school, and some of the girls too. Malia knew what everyone was thinking, she didn’t even need to use her abilities to know. Every day took very nearly an eternity to pass for a person with her abilities. She was seventeen years old now and a Senior in High School, so that was a lot of eternities. She didn’t know how to turn off some of her abilities and this was one of them. He’s planning on asking me to the dance. I had better say yes, I suppose. Zack was the only boy in school who didn’t look at her like a complete creep and she didn’t even want to think about what went through their minds secretly. I wonder how It feels to be surprised by a boyfriend. Malia had never experienced surprise. Besides, I really like him too. Zack was tall, maybe 6’ 1” or so, with brown hair and a nice tan. While he wasn’t the ultimate male specimen physically, he was still in decent shape. Malia liked his personality mostly. He was a funny guy, he made her laugh all the time with his jokes.
Malia hoped she could remember all the answers to today’s Physics test. Of course, she could just read Dr. Roche’s mind again, but that got boring sometimes. This time, she wanted to pass the test for real. There were still ten minutes to spare before home room. Malia decided she’d spend the time talking to Zack. Conversations were difficult for Malia; she knew all the answers and all the questions people wanted to talk about. What good are words anyway, when you know everyone’s meaning before they speak? Ten Minutes was a long time. Malia thought she should make every second count and she had very nearly an eternity to make each second count too. Other people judged one another by their looks, their clothing, their wealth or status or some other nonsense but Malia saw people’s actions for what they really were: A mask for whatever truly was on their inside. We all wear a mask. I have more to hide than anyone. There were nine minutes fifty-nine seconds until Home Room, and it would take eternity before the bell rang.
Later that evening, at Malia’s house, she decided to reveal her mutant powers to Zack. “Zack, we’ve been together for a year now. There’s something I need to show you,” she admitted. “I’ve been keeping a secret from you, because I didn’t want to frighten you away.”
“Malia, you can tell me anything. I care for you. You’re my girlfriend,” replied Zack.
“Well, that’s true.” She saw that she could trust him, but that admission came a little too easily.
“Okay, the secret is I’m a mutant. Like the ones you see on television,” finished Malia.
“Get out of here! What’s your mutant power? The power to tempt a guy to do anything for you,” He asked.
“Yes, that happens to be the case, but I think it’s easier if I just show you, then if you still love me, we can keep dating,” Malia answered.
She was a succubus she knew, and her father’s name was Abadon. At least she looked the part when she wasn’t disguising her appearance. Reading the minds of everyone was only the half of it. Malia could control the power of Love and surround herself in a cloud to conceal herself. Malia wanted an opportunity to use her powers for good, but the temptations grew stronger with each passing day. Why had the Maker allowed her to exist? Lately, Malia’s powers had been growing more and more out of control. She seemed to be time bending more and more, and her telepathy was always activated to full power to begin with. Time Bending was the most annoying side effect of her powers. A ten-minute conversation with Zack would take eternity, she knew, but he was worth it. Malia could have any boy or girl in the school if she wanted to. All she needed to do was activate her Love magic and destroy their minds, but she had always resisted the temptation to abuse her powers. She hoped she could trust Zack, because she needed a Host to hold her powers temporarily until she could finish evolving into whatever she was evolving into. Two could control this power more easily than one. Malia polymorphed into her true form.
She was wearing a black leather miniskirt with fish net leggings and black high heels and a black and red bustier which showed entirely too much of her D sized cleavage. Carefully, so as not to alarm Zack, she unfolded her wings and blade talons. “Well, what do you think of me now,” she asked.
He took the revelation pretty well, for a human. “So, you can change your shape into anything,” he asked.
“Not just anything, but anything about the same size and mass as my real body. This is what I look like for real. I usually just disguise myself as a normal girl. I showed this to you because I trust you and I need your help. I haven’t finished evolving in my abilities, but they are out of control...too much for me to control on my own anyway. I want to transfer some of my power to you. You’re very fit and athletic, and you’re a good and moral person. I think you can handle the transfer. There may be unintended side effects though. I’ve never tried this before. I think I can take the power back if it doesn’t work properly, so there’s no harm in trying.”
“Malia, what happens if you lose control of your powers,” Asked Zack.
“Well, that would be a bad thing for humanity. If I lost control of my powers, everyone everywhere would suffer. I consider myself threat level 10. If I transfer my powers to you, then you may evolve in unexpected ways. Can you control the power of Love without abusing it,” Malia wondered.
“if you can take it back, then there’s no harm in me trying to, right?”
“Okay Zack, but this may be a little weird at first. I’ll transfer a piece of my consciousness into your mind temporarily, to help you with the transition of power. This may give you cunning insights into other people’s thought lives, I don’t know. Now try to think of the most unselfish things you could do with this power and clear your mind of all evil. I need you to have the purest heart possible to receive this gift. Kiss me you fool,” finished Malia.
Malia kissed Zack. It was a good, deep kiss, not too dry and not too wet. Malia poured all her love into Zack’s mind and heart and transferred all her powers and half of her mental energy into Zack. Shadow-Flame engulfed them both as the Union was formed. Succubus were supposed to use their Love magic for evil, thought Malia, but she had always wanted to share her powers with a mutual love. Zack would be a good Host, she decided, and a good lover. As the transfer came to completion, the first thing Malia noticed is she was no longer reading Zack’s mind uncontrollably, nor time bending uncontrollably either. The second thing she noticed is Zack had immediately gained twenty pounds of solid, lean muscle. She couldn’t complain about that. He had always been fit, but now he was buffed. She decided she liked that change. Shadow-Flame poured out from Zack’s eyes and breath as he struggled to control the power. She could help him from inside out and outside in. She captured the Shadow-Flame with her barrier sphere while simultaneously coaching him inside his head. You’re doing just fine. Don’t resist, embrace the essence of love. Women always wanted to change a man, only she had the opportunity to do it for real. Malia could feel Zack’s love raging inside her mind. Male love was such a powerful force. He wanted to rip her clothes off and fuck her right now, she knew, and he had the best of intentions too. He was getting an erection. Malia realized she was aroused too. We need to do something about that, she thought. “Have you got a condom,” she asked.
Yes. He sent the thought inside her head. He was trying to undress her in seconds.
My clothes don’t come off that way. She sent to him telepathically. That’s just a polymorph, an illusion. I think I’ll tear your clothes off instead...and burn them. Malia removed her bustier. Zack’s left hand found its way to her right breast and squeezed her there gently. Malia’s blade talons made short work of Zack’s clothes. She wrapped her prehensile tail around his right wrist and guided his hand down to her crotch. He knew what she wanted. As he fingered her over and over, she transferred a tiny piece of his mind inside her own head. Now they were permanently bonded together. Now they may as well be married.
Malia pushed Zack down on the bed and mounted him. She could feel Zack’s fully erect manhood slide inside her. She moaned softly as he filled her completely. He was so huge, she thought. She liked being on top, she could please her man, and he didn’t need to work so hard. She could feel him throbbing inside of her. She hadn’t intended the Union to go this far right away, but she couldn’t control herself. Zero point eight seconds passed between each reciprocating thrust. Thank you, thank you, thank you, she sent through another telepathic moan. Everything was sheer bliss. She rode him like there was no tomorrow. Malia didn’t' want this moment to end. Neither did Zack. Thank the Maker, they both thought in unison.

Chapter 1:
Craft Magic
Eight days later, Malia found herself working on another Saturday. She didn’t work the job of the typical high school senior. Malia operated her own jewelry store, “Craft Magic Jewelry”. Malia had discovered two years ago how to transmute Aluminum, Oxygen, and a trace of Iron into Rubies. A Trace of Cobalt made Sapphire instead. They were just as real as natural Rubies, only more perfect. Malia didn’t charge full price for her Crafted synthetic gems, that would be unfair to other dealers. She sold hers as synthetics. She was even able to patent a process for producing synthetic Corundum, the natural Di-Aluminum Trioxide molecule that makes up every Sapphire and Ruby. It’s the impurity that made a natural Sapphire or Ruby so valuable. Eventually, Malia had saved enough money to start dealing in natural Rubies and Sapphires too.
Each of her Rubies came with a certificate of authenticity, and for just $100 more, a couple could purchase a blessing and a shadow-flame from Malia. What they didn’t need to know was her Love Magic really worked. Now she had been showing a pair of Ruby earrings to a middle-aged couple. The earrings were half karat each, very costly and very natural. Malia was able to use her Fel heritage to enhance the natural fire of Rubies with Shadow-Flame. She didn’t know how to use that trick with Sapphire yet, but she had been experimenting a few times. My luck, it requires Ice-Flame, she thought. Knowing that was a real thing.
Malia didn’t need too much more money for college, after all, she had earned a scholarship. She wanted to be a nurse.

That's all I have for now. I plan on writing each chapter as a stand-alone story which will be a couple dozen pages long, enough to be converted to a graphic novel in its own right. I decided to focus on this book, because it's the prequel to my other book I also want to work on. There are fewer main characters here, so not as much to screw up.
