Nothing wrong with what you are doing. Precum or pre ejaculate, is just a precursor to him shooting his wad, which I'm sure you knew. Try this with the partner THAT YOU DON'T see or feel pre-cum with when you are jacking him off: take your index and thumb, and squeeze the tip of his penis, at the opening in the head, and you should see a drop of pre-cum ooze out when you do that. Depends on a few things, 1) how long he has had a hard-on, 2) How HARD is penis is, 3) how fast and hard you are jerking him off.
