People always assume that all straight men are turned on by lesbian porn. People not just believe this misconception but also try to make it seem like straight men “have to” be turned on by Lesbian porn. I’m a straight man myself and I do not find lesbian sex to be hot, I have nothing against lesbians or bisexuals. Lesbian porn doesn’t do anything for me and neither does it do anything for several other straight guys.
1.)Stereotype: There’s no rule book that says “every straight man has to find lesbians hot”. A straight man not liking lesbian porn doesn’t make him any less of a straight man. No matter how much people like to assume every straight man likes lesbian porn, it’s just not true.
2.) Many guys want a 100% straight biological woman: It gets annoying when society says that all men care about is looks, men are a lot more complex than that. While looks do matter to men, it doesn’t mean all men will overlook the other factors to solely care about a woman’s outer beauty. Many men also care about politics, personality, religion, lifestyle and sexual orientation. There are many straight guys like myself who only date straight biological women, it doesn’t mean we have anything against bisexual women. We just have a preference for straight biological women that’s all.
3.) turn off: While lesbian and bisexual behaviors may not initiate any reaction from some guys, for certain guys it’s a turn off and can even be a deal breaker in some cases. I often hear stories of straight women desperately trying to impress a guy by kissing another woman and it only ruins her chances of getting the guy’s attention and may cause the guy to be disappointed because he may have liked her prior to that.
4.)Not homophobic: Another petty argument that people will use is “Oh, since he doesn’t find lesbians to be hot and he doesn’t date bisexual women then he must be homophobic.” I’ve sternly addressed some of these people before for using binary thinking and false dilemmas. Just because a guy refuses to date a bisexual woman and isn’t turned on by lesbian action, doesn’t mean he’s homophobic. That’s like assuming all lesbians are misandrists just because they aren’t attracted to men. There could be many reasons why he’s not interested that aren’t the result of homophobia, maybe he doesn’t want to compete with women, maybe he has standards etc.
5.) Zero Chance: The reason why some guys don’t find lesbians to be hot is because they know they have zero percent of a chance at dating one. It should be obvious but apparently it’s not.
6.)gynocentric double standard: Why is it widely accepted for women to not be turned on by gay males but it’s so hard for people to accept that not every guy is turned on by lesbian porn? By the way, it’s well known that most women aren’t turned on by gay male action because women aren’t that visual when it comes to attraction.
7.) Sexualization of lesbians: Hollywood and the mainstream media sure love to use cheap methods to attract specific audiences. On several occasions, they show lesbian sex scenes to get the attention of the male audience, promote “progressive” politics and boost their ratings of course. It also gives the wrong idea that all women are secretly lesbians or can be turned into lesbians.
8.)”straight” women watch lesbian porn: I don’t know if more women watch lesbian porn than men but it’s been shown on several occasions that straight women do watch lesbian porn as well. So we can’t say that lesbian porn only caters to straight men.
Again, I don’t have anything against lesbians or bisexual women, I’m just making it clear that not every straight guy is interested in them. It’s not always “homophobia” and it’s not always “misogyny”. It can be preference. Nobody can force a male to like something or date someone he doesn’t want to date. Regardless if a male is interested in lesbian porn and or dating bisexual women or not, he isn’t hurting anyone.

I thought girl-on-girl was hot until I matured. Doesn't interest me anymore. Now most women prefer and will only date a straight man, so I don't see any difference why men shouldn't want the same. If hypothetically the world flipped upside down and men were the sex objects and featured scantily clad and women were less so and everything in reverse and male to male stuff was eroticized. Guys would probably be less homophobic though, but I doubt straight men would be watching gay porn suddenly like straight women watch lesbian porn
There's more influence too, There was a new song called Girls by Rita Ora and Bebe rexha and Cardi B and it's like Katy Perry's "I kissed a girl" but more reference to girl to girl sex.

Well it wasn't a thing because gay and lesbian activity was seen as taboo 20 years ago. Soceity has been more accepting than in the past. So women who were bicurious or just as much then, but hidden. It's out more because it's more accepted and well expoited now too. It's not every other girl. I know plenty of women don't kiss or do things that would be bi curious, but there are many women who are bi curious. And yeah I do think more bisexuals exist than you think if you go by attraction. There's a middle or grey area. Technically if person is mainly attracted to same sex, but a little to opposite sex. They are bi but mainly gay. Or if mainly toward opposite sex, but a little to same sex, bi as well, but mostly straight.
They aren't conidtioned to think they are bi. If they think they are. it's because the drunk make out with a girl friend or the find themselves turned on by lesbian porn or lesbian fantasies or have a threesome and fool around with a woman. I don't know how that means they are straight. Even if lesbian stuff is sexualized, I'd think women straight as a board would not be turned on by lesbian porn or make out with each other. @brennanhuff You're not allowing for cultural and societal factors that shape sexuality. If sexuality is "fluid", as you say, then something's shaping it. It's not biology.

The reason women are behaviorally is because of biology though and why women are influenced easier than men by ads and such. So it shows something how women are less concrete with straight and lesbian than men are rigidly straight or gay. So that shows how less of these women are straight as a board than you think and because of this fluidity that is not all based on the media, but the combination of media, but also the biological aspect that women can be influenced easier. How straight or locked is someone's orientation if the biology allows one to be influenced behavior wise by ads?
Some may say, well men aren't bombarded by sexualized images of women or male to male love sexualized and the opposite. But, since out media and most channels and ads are from the eyes of the straight male. Well gay men see all these ads just like straight women and us straight guys do. Yet this influence of women sexualized images all over the place and how eroticized women are. Yet this hasn't any effect on gay men. Gay men aren't watching lesbian porn, (watching gay porn or male/male erotic stuff) they aren't suddenly making out with women, turned on by images of monkeys and naked women, but not men (chrivers study), or finding women's bodies arousing or sexier than men's. So you can say all ads you want, but it means nothing if the biology causes that to not really have an influence on behavior.
