A guy is giving you a tour of the house (its a bit messy, normal lived in state) and on the nightstand next to his bed there are two empty water glasses and an unsmoked joint. He picks up the joint and says "somebody gave me this joint, it's supposed to have aphrodisiacs in it".

I mean, to me it's obvious he had somebody in that bed and they didn't need the extra aphrodisiacs to have sex.

Would you agree?

It could be what you suspect. It may also be him hinting to you that he wants to have sex. Really hard to say. Are you dating this person? Have you talked about if you are going to be exclusive or open to dating other people?

If you haven't discussed that, I would do so. That way, you both know where you stand on dating others. There is no reason to not be open and honest so no one gets hurt. That is something he should be truthful if he has any sort of respect for you.

Once you sort that out, then you can decide if you want to date someone that is dating (and possibly have sex with) other people. That is the part that would concern me. I wouldn't want to date someone that was sleeping around.

Not only does that show me he doesn't much care where he gets sex from so long as he gets it, but the risk of STDs are a lot higher. You have no clue if those people have been tested or if they are practicing safe sex.

Thanks for the thoughtful answer. I did talk to him about my needs and concerns about safe sex. We are not dating anymore but this episode is not something that I specifically brought up speaking in more broad terms. So it didn't matter, and I suppose I'm curious postfactum if I missread the situation.

@Red_Arrow lol ouch.. We were on our bikes and he took the lead when it started pouring. We were like 5 minutes away, apparently. Overall an unusual date, I'd say. Gave me much food for thought lol we're not dating anymore.
