Player vs. Playboy?

So i read a lot of questions or takes on "players" and how bad they are. lying and playing with peoples emotions just to get laid. how is a "Playboy" different to that in your opinion or is it the same?

Player is a spin-off of playboy. I think originally they were the same. A playboy or playgirl is a lifestyle where both are after the same thing. It's a game where both sides know the rules, and willingly play by those rules.

Player has come to mean deception. The player is playing one game, but deceives the other person into thinking it's a different game.

Playboy lives a lifestyle he wants to live and ends up attracting people with whom he lays.

I think players are the ones that play with everyone's heart and they're really selfish. But playboys are just flirty boys who actually respect you but still like to tease u and kinda use u. I prefer playboys
