Question for Christians, do you think women who occasionally fall into sin (masturbation) are less likely to find a Christian spouse?

Long story short, I've prayed for a Christian spouse for quite some time of years. Been very specific with my prayers on the type of man I'd like to marry. The guys who have pursued me in church were a lot younger and frankly, I was not attracted to them. Lately, I've been falling into the sin of masturbation especially when I'm lonely. The discouragement of being single and not having any prospects online and in church caused me to stray. Lately though, I've been trying to get closer again to God. There have been seasons in my life where I would go without masturbation for several months. Then I'd slip. Do you think there is a correlation to me being single and the times I've failed?

Why were you not attracted to the other church guys? If you want to be picky, you should be more proactive too. There are Christian dating sites, singles groups, etc.

Otherwise 10 years from now you'll be even older and much less likely to find a good guy.

They were a lot younger than me and to be frank, a lot shorter than me too. I've tried Christianmingle, in my town, barely anyone is signed up. There is no singles group at my church

Celtero -- At church, women outnumber men about 3 to 2. Planning to meet a guy at church is planning to have a 1/3 chance staying single. And you are right, church guys go for young women.

The statistics are correct -- there are 3 evangelical women for every 2 men. So there is NOT a Christian man for every single Christian woman.

Not all denominations consider masturbating a sin. That tells me you are likely in some evangelical church. There are 3 women for every 2 men in those churches. If you hope to marry you may have to look outside the evangelical world.

You have got to be kidding me, be careful of being one of those die hard religious people, just take it down a notch. Masturbation is not a sin, letting your pastor touch you because he has holy hands and claims God would want it that way is.

Ok. But look at it this way. The greatest King of Israel besides Jesus was King David, and we know what kind of sins David did and God still blessed him and his kingdom. So if God bless him God can bless you with the right guy at the right time.
