This is probably going to be really quick but it's pissing me off so I just want to make this clear.

You can NOT choose your sexuality. YOU can't. You can't wake up one day and decide "oh Im going to try to be gay today" THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS.

If a guy who is straight watches gay p*rn , he won't get a boner, why? Because he's not gay. He could try, he could tell himself "this is hot, I'm attracted to this" but he still won't get a boner. Because he's attracted to girls, not guys. You can't tell yourself who to be attracted to.

Yes it's okay if you don't know if you like guys or not, and you want to try to date a guy or girl to see if you like it. It's okay to be curious. But if you absolutely know you're straight or gay or whatever and you say "I change my mind I'm blah blah blah now" that's not okay. I don't care what anyone says, you dont choose who you are. You are born this way.

I'm telling you this because I had a friend who would change his mind about his sexuality every week and it pissed me off. One week he was bi, then he was gay, then he was straight, and out of nowhere he was asexual, then back to bi again. Like fucking stop. If you don't know what you are then tell people you don't know. Instead of insisting you're one sexuality just so you can "change your mind" the next week.

Then I saw an answer on a gag question where this guy went "some guys feel like they have small penises so they end up turning gay" I wanted to punch him in the face so badly.

Feel free to leave your honest opinions. Just don't try to convince me Or anyone else that they're absolutely wrong. It's fine to disagree but you don't have to fucking attack anyone. And I don't want to hear any religious bullshit like "God hates gays!" If he hated gays then he wouldn't of made them that way. Like all you religious people say "God loves all his children" K, bye.

  • There will be people who choose. Some will do it for irrational reasons and others because they believe they are rationale. Others will choose out of extreme sexual curiosity and get caught up in it. There may even be those who feel peer pressure in making a decision about sexual orientation. There are 7 billion people on the planet and guess what... they get to make choices. You seem to feel it's not right because "it pissed me off" and "it's not okay." I am not quite sure who decided that YOU can be the judge and jury on what 7 billion people can and can't do, but you might want to get over your god complex fairly quickly.

    Whether you like it or not is a very different matter. You are quite free to dislike it. You are free to hate it. I also believe one's sexual orientation may be decided for them, and I also have [private] feelings about people changing their minds, but I would never be so pompous as to tell people they can't choose.

    • Choosing your sexual orientation is like choosing your race. Yes all these 8 billion people on this planet CAN say "Now, Im gay" and they can go find a partner of the same sax, they can marry him (or her) and they can adopt babies. However, he will never TRULY be homosexual, he will never truly love that other person, as he would love a wife, he will never "complete" and he will never feel like it's the right thing - if he was not born that way. Im guessing you're straight, so imagine marrying a guy and doing everything that comes with marriage, would that feel right? No, because that is not how you where born and no matter how hard you try, it won't ever feel right.

    • I am straight and do not feel the need to change my orientation. You have changed your view point though. Yes someone can choose a gay life and maybe never be a true homosexual, but they can choose to do so. You can not choose your race, but if I want to try the gay lifestyle tomorrow I can. I may agree though... "it might not feel right."

  • I am asexual. Asexuality is still a largely unknown thing, I have only known about it for about ten months. Before I knew I was ace I really struggled with my sexuality. Essentially I can not maintain a sexual thought. Basically I was trying to make myself straight (or sometimes gay) for 13 years. I agree with you. We are born the way we are born. Which is also why it is so important for all of the options of sexuality to be common knowledge.

  • This is why I don't take people who claim to be gay/les/bi unless they've done something, because at that point, that's when you prove to yourself whether or not you are. But for some people to just say they are without having ever done anything is an insult to those who truly are gay. Those people may just be bicurious.
