Really insecure about my pubic hair, it keeps me from having sex.?

I can easily take care of my pubic hairs. But what really makes me insecure about having sex is the hair on my outer labia. How much should I shave off? How do I do it? What are the dangers? Should I do a Brazilian? Links would be really helpful. I need help because this really stops me from being intimate with my boyfriend. And please no long lectures on how I shouldn't be doing this 'for a guy', I really do want to do this for myself so I'll be more comfortable.

  • I personally say just shave the hair around your vagina and only trim it above. The reason most guys say to shave everything is because they haven't seen some good pubic hair styles before.     Just trimming is all you really need to do.

  • If you're worried about hair, shave everything off at least from below. Then you can decide whether you want to shave everything in the front too, or leave a landing strip or something like that. It's not hard to shave everything, just use shaving cream and be careful.
