I have seen a lot of posts (girls and guys), asking if it is okay to have sex at ages between 13-17 (for the most part). I personally don't think you should have sex unless you are mentally, physically, and financially prepared to raise a child. Condoms don't always work. Just saying.

2 0Abstinence is 100% effective but it's impractical because teens are horny and impulsive and irrational. This is normal, abstinence is not. I think that anyone who is horny and wants to have sex should be educated on the consequences and how to protect themselves from STDs and pregnancy. It really is their decision from there, whether it's a bad decision or a good one, it's their decision alone to make, you can only give them the tools to make that decision. Also it's better to encourage safe sex than it is to say no sex and then they have sex anyway and do not use protection because they were only taught abstinence.
I agree with you on this. Teens will do what they want. I know because I am a teen. No matter what you tell them, they will still do whatever they see fit.
