Is it normal for a girlfriend to not text with constant exchanges, there are updates from her, although our text message communication isn't exchanges with the other.

But not sure why texting is at a point reserved

Me personally I'm not a good texter when it comes to conversation, if I just want to talk to you, id probably feel more comfortable doing it on the phone, but if I have something I need to tell you (example: a problem in the relationship, a quick I miss you/ I love you, or just to inform you that I won't be doing something that was previously planned or implied). Texting is reserved for information and short exchanges where as calling is used for other things, however in person is typically better for all of that and maybe that's why she acts that way
