That's something you might find a bit hard to "just let go of". That's because... it's a situation which naturally, is going to illicit some pretty intense emotions. I think... you may need to "deal with" some of those emotions rather than "just letting it go" (which is essentially "bottling it up/repressing it").

I think that there are several dynamics here that are pretty fucked up. Obviously being treated that way by an uncle is fucked up, and I don't really blame you for feeling fucked up about it. I really don't have enough information about you, or your overall situation to say a whole lot more about it... other than... you certainly are going to have some emotional fallout from that, which I don't think you should "just let go".

I see that you're an adult. Nevertheless I very-much see this as something your uncle ought to feel shame and disgust over (at least as much as you do).

I think, though, that you can "let it go" when it comes to trying to forgive yourself. If regretting what you did keeps you from doing it again in the future, then I think you SHOULD 'let go' of the feeling guilty part.
