Should I remain a transvestite man or become a transgender woman?

I am a man who wears women's clothes and if you ask me to choose between being a man and being a woman, I cannot choose. Many people have told me that it is not right for me to be a man who wears women's clothes. So I decided to do what most people want, which is to stay a transvestite man or to become a transsexual woman.

  • Look at my username.

I'm gonna make you look at it, so you really see it.

    Okay?

    Listen, please.

I'm a 64-year-old man with a long, strange story to tell. Long story short:

Until about 5 years ago, I worried incessantly about how I fit in, how I should label myself.

One day I realized that I don't need someone else's labels, nor any of my own. I'm now just me, free of any expectations from others or myself. If I want to change something about how I dress or behave (acceptably, of course, behavior-wise), I make the change.

I don't know how far you're thinking of modifying yourself physically, but I'd just say to think about who you really are and be that person.

  • Obviously it is your choice. You have both options and that is ok. You are an adult and you should think about the possible pros and cons. Whichever of the two seems more beneficial to you, opt for that. If for eg based on your research, you are able to draw a conclusion that by becoming a transgender woman you'll be happier in life, then by all means go for it. Otherwise stick to where you are at now. Honestly, its your life and your decision. Relax and think about it without pressure :)

  • Fuck what they want.

    Be you.

F1NNST3R is a straight cis man who's been dressing as a girl for, what, years? And he's just doing it for cash.

Plenty of men dress feminine just because that's who they are.

Fuck what anyone else thinks. You be you, however you identify.

All of it is constructs. Be who YOU want.

  • That's up to you. A major change like that must be taken seriously, you really need to think about it. Once you change, there's no turning back.

    • You're right, but I let people choose, can you vote?

    • Yes, I can vote. But this is your life, you're the one who knows what's the best for you. You're the one who needs to think about what you really want and need.

  • why put labels on it, sounds non-binary to me but i don't know

  • I believe you should do you and not worry about others opinions.

  • I don't agree with either and I don't think you should do any but you do you

  • You may want to do some research on other identities besides just man and woman, if you don't feel like a man or a woman. Although depending on where you live you may have very limited options for legal identity.

  • Do the least damage to yourself. That way it can be undone in the future.

  • It's your choice. You have to ask yourself, do you actually want to live as a woman? Again it's your choice not someone else's, but whatever you choose to do, it won't be easy. Good luck.

  • Just be a man and behave like one. Smh.

  • Remain a man, do you want to take drugs for the rest of your life?

  • I don’t think that’s up to us to decide for you.

  • Is there a difference other than a post-op trans?

  • Surgeries won't bring you any closer to womanhood.

  • Between the two, cross dress.

  • They are the same thing.

  • I can't answer this Q for you. Do you want to live "public life" as a man or a woman? Do you want to have sex with men, women or both? Do you want have your own children? That's a lot to think about.

  • Don’t get your body permanently altered unless you personally definitely want it

  • You need to be in a mental health facility

  • Remain the true biological sex that you truly are, and seek mental health treatment from a heterosexual Christian psychiatrist

  • You need to. get a blue account. You are a dude

  • I actually find you very attractive as a woman so maybe you should stick with that

  • Remain.
