Should I warn him I'm on my period?

I've been with my boyfriend for 3 months and the 'period' issue has never come up till now. He's meant to be coming round to stay the night tonight and I've started my period. I don't know whether to warn him or not. He's a good guy but he won't be coming round till late but I just will feel a bit awkward if he turns up and then I tell him I'm on my period. Like I say, he's a good guy but i can't help worrying that he'll be disappointed and wish he hadn't come!

I've warned him, he said he would still come round but he also said if I wanted space that was fine and also that he didn't want me to think he wasn't coming just because of that... As I said before, he is a good guy, but what if he's just being nice and feels like he has to?

  • It's natural that you might want to let him know at some point that you have your period, but you shouldn't feel the need to "warn" him. If he only wants to see you when you're not on your period, then he's a pathetic excuse for a boyfriend.

  • I doubt he'll be upset. Just let him know if it's necessary (like if you plan to fool around) otherwise there's no need.

    • I've let him know and he's said he would still come but he quickly said he understood if I wanted space.. I'm worried he's just being nice and feels like he has to still come round.. Should I tell him he shouldn't feel like he has to or not?

    • Girl he wants to come. Stop worrying.

  • I just hate the idea of a girl feeling like she has to "warn" her boyfriend (or anybody really) that she's having her period. Or is about to start. It's just a normal part of life and there's nothing taboo about it.

    • thank you for MH Guy opinion!

  • You certainly should let him know. He may or may not mind. If nothing else you do need to be honest with him about that.

  • Warn him...
If he can't control himself... than break up with him... he's no good...

  • you could just say; "unless you wanna ride the red tide, can't have sex tonight sorry."

  • Well I think you should. Sometimes boyfriends can help in a situation like this.

  • You could say that you started your time of the month.
If he is mature guy that should not matter to him and he
should accept things for as they come.

  • find another way of the pleasure.

  • He'll be disappointed but if he loves you he'll take care of you
