Should it hurt to get fingered?

I'm a virgin and I've only been fingered once. When he did it, it kinda hurt... After that it felt sore down there. Is this all normal? Also did it hurt more because I wasn't relaxed?

  • It didn't really hurt for me, he didn't rush right into it. I was really wet, (drenched!) He slowly worked just one finger in and that was all for the first time. He was also super gentle, which is why he got to do it again! The next morning, I was just a little sore. I could tell there was something in there bigger than my own finger the night before. Soreness was gone after a couple of hours.

From what I've heard from girlfriends who said they were really sore after was that the guy didn't get them wet or use a lube then just sort of jammed their finger right on in. Most of them said it hurt most or part of the time he was fingering them. I think it makes a difference as to the experience level and maturity of the guy doing the fingering. (Yeah guys, we compare notes with our best girlfriends.)

  • Yea, if you're not relaxed it's always gonna hurt. Even if you've been having sex for years. You've gotta be ready, if you're not ready you won't be able to relax, if you can't relax your body won't be able to make the changes to make it more comfortable like getting wet enough and vagina muscles not being too tense... it even happens with the smallest tampons if you're all tense. You gotta relax. But you gotta be fully ready to be able to relax.

    • Thanks for the up vote :) as for your update... it's really difficult to relax when you're not ready. Even if you think you're ready, sometimes you aren't. I was like that. I think if you're ready, it won't even be a thing, you won't be thinking so much about it you'll just be fully in the moment and horny. That's what happened to me and lots of girls I know anyway. I always thought I was ready, but when I had that moment one day where I was fully in the moment, I realised how not ready I was before.. I even lost my virginity on that day lol and it didn't really hurt and a dick is way bigger than fingers. Just wait. Get yourself fully comfortable with him first, play around with each others bodies and be comfortable with that first, then move on to other things.

  • I just think you weren't wet enough. Try adding some lube next time :)

  • You have to tell him when you like it and when it hurts. He cannot smell that. Sex is communiucation. People forget that.

  • It probably means you weren't really turned on, if it's your first time putting anything up there you need to be turned on, it makes such a bit difference to the feeling and it makes it a lot easier to fit things in. Lol that's worded a bit weirdly

  • You weren't relaxed

  • Were you too dry?

    • I was somewhat wet

    • or dirty?

  • Yeah it hurt me when guys would use 2 fingers at first but eventually it stopped. It's the same thing with sex it will hurt the first couple times but after that it's not so bad.

  • If you're turned on, you'll be more relaxed. Your vagina will expand when you're aroused.

  • Same happens to me :/

    • are you virgin?

  • You have to be really wet, you need to be relaxed (otherwise your muscles clench) and he needs to have manicured nails.

  • First time when a guy finger

    • and how do you know that. were you fingered too?

  • no it should not

  • Someone told me you shouldn't finer a girl who's completely a virqin for the first time , maybe because it was your first time

  • ya, it's normal, but you gotta keeping getting fingered you can't just jump to sex, it'll hurt you too much

  • Being tense can make it hurt, my boyfriend I've found tends to go to the very bottom of the entry and his nail was dragging my skin innas well. Not nice but an easy fix.
You can try doing it yourself to become more comfortable with it

  • no it should not hurt, relax
