It didn't really hurt for me, he didn't rush right into it. I was really wet, (drenched!) He slowly worked just one finger in and that was all for the first time. Yea, if you're not relaxed it's always gonna hurt. Even if you've been having sex for years. You've gotta be ready, if you're not ready you won't be able to relax, if you can't relax your body won't be able to make the changes to make it more comfortable like getting wet enough and vagina muscles not being too tense... it even happens with the smallest tampons if you're all tense. You gotta relax. But you gotta be fully ready to be able to relax.
Thanks for the up vote :) as for your update... it's really difficult to relax when you're not ready. Even if you think you're ready, sometimes you aren't. I was like that. I think if you're ready, it won't even be a thing, you won't be thinking so much about it you'll just be fully in the moment and horny. That's what happened to me and lots of girls I know anyway. I always thought I was ready, but when I had that moment one day where I was fully in the moment, I realised how not ready I was before.. I even lost my virginity on that day lol and it didn't really hurt and a dick is way bigger than fingers. Just wait.
