Should Sex Workers maintain their job when they become Parents?

So , should they? Let’s say an only fans model or even pornstar becomes a parent. Should they still continue in their work or transition into something else. I heard some stories about children/ teenagers who parents are in these fields and become targets for bullying. Some of these kids suffer depression and develop suicidal tendencies which brings up room for concern on the mental health side.

Now this one will be a bit complicated. I only want to talk to people who support sex work / acknowledge sex work as real work. If you dislike the sex industry or have no support for the industry, my conversation isn’t with you at the moment, no offense.

  • While I understand that sex workers use these platforms, I think it depends on what we define as a sex worker which is going to be subjective for each person. Personally I define sex workers as those who actually work in the industry like escorts, strippers, porn stars, etc. I don't count girls that do Only Fans as sex workers because they have aren't physically interacting with individuals like the others in those environments. They are able to exploit the internet and use interaction through a screen as opposed to having social skills and courage to do it face to face.

Now when it comes to them being parents, I feel it is in the family and kids best interest that they are not involved with it. With how accessible the internet is to go along with people freely advertising it, no privacy can be had and that will in turn reflect not just on the individual using the platform or whatever industry they work, but those directly in their lives.

Sex workers may be recognized and approached and even harrassed by their fans or those that know them as a way to intimidate, shame or blackmail. It leaves kids prone to exposure because they will learn their parent is one through another party unless their parent tells them first. Much like how the sex worker can face what I listed above, their kids can get it much worse because kids can be cruel and endure whatever is thrown at them from bother kids and adults and it will suck because they won't understand why they are being bullied or shamed for it.

    • Thanks for MHO

  • I worked in sex work. I was a stripper for Bachelorette parties mainly and i was a regular actor in an amateur porn studio. Also did some directing for awhile and was quite good at it.

Its a huge deal for the women. And in regards to the kids its a huge deal. My acquaintance in high schools mom was a famous porn star (no i didn't ever even meet her just seen her once or twice dropping him off) and he had so many issues because of it.

At minimum they should quit. Ideally they should be sterilized when they choose to begin. Better yet they never even engage in that work.

I think if a womans going to live that "ho life" its not a big deal for her. she's already damaged in the ways sex industry would damage her. So why not? For many women its a good choice. But for some innocent girl its absolutely terrible choice. They should not do this under any circumstances.

  • Either change job positions or use an alias/disguise to avoid your name/face negatively affecting the reputation of your spouse and kids

    • If i ever become a porn film director (and no i won't be physically screwing anyone, especially on cam), I intend to use an alias and disguise. I dont need anyone knowing its me. Just knowing my behind the scenes work can bring about the great busting of nuts will make me happy enough

    • You dirty dog

    • @Shamalien 😂😂😂

  • I don't have a problem with sex workers (aside from OnlyFans and exploiting pathetic simps for money), but I wish more people would admit it's not some respectable noble profession. It's on the same level as bootlegging and street hustling to me. So IF a sex worker can have a normal ego and not act like she's important like she's on the same level of doctors or lawyers just for having sex, then I'm cool with what she does for a living (although I would not want my own future daughter or son to ever do that work).

So with that said, no they should not still be doing sex work once having children. They're now going to be destroying their children's lives and futures and it comes off EXTREMELY selfish and irresponsible to me; the same was as I'd say no one should still be street hustling or doing crime once they have children either. At some point, people gotta grow up and do right by their children, and not engaging in things merely because "they like it." Most sex workers make plenty of money to where they could retire by the time they're 30; assuming they know how to save up and not be foolish with their spending.

  • it should be their choice... they are the only ones that know better about how it would change things for them, and the ones that would know way better about the many aspects of their life and how it relates to their living

so, I would not be the one to pretend to know better about what they should do or not

  • They should do what they want

    • Why?

    • Because why would I advocate they do something they don’t want to do? Like if they’re a painter, I wouldn’t have them forcefully quit painting. That could be extended to any hobby/job that someone has

    • True , I’m not against them stopping. I’m trying to be the devils advocate against my own perspective for a change. ( I agree with you naturally). Just it’s something that I notice and I wonder if we are right , you know?

  • Well that industry should be legalized and decriminalized in the US or just everywhere

  • It depends. There is a cam couple that recently had a baby. They're still camming, but all their explicit sexual content is behind a paywall on OnlyFans. I think that's okay as you can't see more than them occasionally being nude unless you pay for it.

  • Hahahah most girls see no problem raising a kid as a sex worker. Why am I not surprised. Ur kid’s gonna be traumatized for life. Real talk tho if u have kids and are a sex worker ur a bad parent and don’t care about ur kids.

  • Parents should be employed, cuz it costs a fortune to raise one to age 18.

  • They should continue although not in their own home.

  • ngl I feel sorry for the kids

  • They better save and invest wisely since soon they will have to retire lol. That skin and spear arrow boobs won't be firm and tight for centuries lol.

  • I think so personally

    • Mind if I ask why?

    • Ehh I'd rather not get into that discussion but let's say it has something to do with me not agreeing with that type of work in the first place

    • Ahh okay I understand

  • Why should that change anything

  • I feel bad for their kids. I don’t want be judgmental, but I can’t imagine knowing my parents have porn videos online. It’s embarrassing and mortifying. I also remember online about kids who would bully this kid whose mom was a porn star and once forced him, while pinning to the ground, to watch his mother in a porn scene.

  • When I was a cab driver, I had a regular customer who was a hooker. I even arranged a few gigs for her with commercial fishermen. I would go to her house and pick her up, and I would see her husband giving her a goodbye kiss, and her little girls would wave to me.
It's not a job that I would want or do, but I don't pass judgment on others, unless there are victims involved. If only our government could focus on real crime and not this stupid shit.

So many guys on this site have asked the question about if cheating should be an actual crime. LOL

Fucking take care of your own problems, and don't drag my tax dollars into your shit-show.
