I have a new girlfriend and the weekend just gone was our first time doing anything sexual.

She gave me a blowjob and it felt amazing, i had a big orgasm in no time at all.
When I was about to cum I didn't say much, i just had the normal signs that an orgasm is coming like a tense body, a little bit of noise etc.

But when I ejaculated she seemed genuinely surprised and a bit disgusted. She did swallow but didn't look happy about it.
I thought it was kind of implied though that you might get sperm in your mouth when you give a blowjob.

Surprises of any kind aren't good. I can usually tell when it's coming but sometimes not. If you let her know, she'll be ready to swallow and may enjoy it more not nearly choking on it and then want to give them to you more often. Yes, you should tell her or ask before you start if she wants a warning. Not all women are on board with getting semen in their mouths. She may want a facial. She may want you to hold of cumming so you can still have sex. You won't know if you don't ask.
