I hate twitter. It's probably the most cancerous place on the internet. At least the people from 4chan can take a joke.
I also don't care for Game Grumps. I used to watch them for the first couple of years, but I got bored and eventually stopped. That being said, I always liked Danny. So, when I heard the rumors circulating that he banged an underage fan of his, I was disappointed and a little surprised. I could expect him boning a fan of his and then ghosting him, but I never thought he would cross the line and sleep with a minor.
Well, turns out that's fake news! He had a texting relationship with the girl when she was 17 years and 11 months, by her own admission, and the sexting only started after she turned 18. They didn't even meet until she was 22 at a Game Grumps live event, where Danny slept with her and then ghosted her.
But apparently for twitter, that's enough to call him a groomer! I guess women just have no agency. I always thought they did, but hey, that's just the liberalism in me speaking. That's not nearly progressive enough.
Look, Danny's a bit of a dickhead, but really? Is this where we're going, where a C-list rock star doing typical rock star things with a consensual adult is worth trying to ruin his career over? And don't try and tell me that the woman is so innocent and had no idea that this would happen. Groupies and rock and roll are inseparable, you can't act like this possibility was so beyond the pale. But maybe that's just me expecting women to have their own agency again.
