Guys, so why was this old colleague "hiding" behind a computer screen as I was buying something & then when I went to leave he called me over to chat?

He's tall. About 6'2" so it's very fucking obvious when he's trying to make himself look smaller than he is. And the fact half the time while I was paying for things, I could just see the top of his head was ridiculous. While I was paying for things I wasn't doing anything atypical - talking with my mother, the cashier, looking around.

The only thing atypical was my outfit. A black blouse shirt and ankle-length blue/black skirt. I usually wear cargo pants & a baggy shirt.

  • Only he knows

  • Why would a man do that that doesn’t sound right

    • I don't know. That's the thing.

    • Hmmm 🤔

    • The only thing I can see is he thought I wanted to talk with him - keep in mind he called me over when I was about to leave & doesn't explain why he was ducking down rather than standing at his full height. Yesterday one of his colleagues, a former colleague of mine, acted almost as bizarrely. When I was asking a question he more spoke to the computer screen than he spoke to me. I was wearing a skirt yesterday too as in the midst of interviewing for a few high-end jobs. But it's almost like they forgot - because of how I usually dress & I go by a gender-neutral nickname not my full name - that I got breasts & am a woman. And now not quite sure what to do with a skirt. And like said this is a professional get up - nothing revealing.
