Socks to bed: yay or nay?

Definitely nay.
If your feet are cold without socks that means that your duvet is too thin.
You *should* be warm, *including* your feet even if the room temperature is at about 16⁰C for a summer duvet in my country.
A winter duvet should be able to handle temperature dips to sub zero temperatures (in case you like sleeping with your window open or if the power fails or you don't have anything but a wooden stove and the fire dies out).

If it's ice cold outside or inside or there's a major storm going on and I don't know if I'm going to have to be getting up I will wear socks yes just in case I have to get dressed fast

For me it's a nay. I like not getting too hot and stretch out my feet and toes before I drift off to sleep. Can't really do that if you wear socks.

I don't like socks to bed. I usually get hot under the blanket so it's nice to get rid of some heat on the edges. Also if I wear socks too long it just feels bad and I wear them during the day so I don't wanna wear them at night :)
