Songs I Love That Are All About Sex

Songs I Love All About SEX

Have been listening to some of my sensual favorites lately, and just wanted to share 'em this time. I could've easily named this "10 Songs I Love All About SEX," but I get tired of all the redundant group-think lists here: 5 Things this, 7 reasons that, so I chose not to include a number in the title. Some of these songs you may know, and others you may not.

Music has played a big part of my sexuality over the years, and even songs that have nothing to do with sex can put sexual images in my mind - songs most people would not even understand how I got sex out of it, lol. I think it could be due to the intricacies of my sexual nature and how sexually charged I am, and maybe even a streak of my artistic vibe has something to do with it too, not sure, lol. I don't call myself ManOnFire for nothing ;-)

So here they are, and in no particular order:

Love Myself - Hailee Steinfeld

When I first saw Hailee Steinfeld in Ender's Game I instantly fell in love with her exotic look and beautiful tiger eyes, strongly making me say, "Who is that girl?" When I Googled her I came across her ever-growing hit these days, "Love Myself." Most people actually do not know that Hailee is cleverly talking about masturbation in the lyrics, not about body image and loving who you are, which I didn't even pick up on until I listened to it enough times. Although masturbation technically isn't sex, it's still pretty much a sexual act. A few of us on YouTube figured it out, and maybe you can too if you pay attention to the lyrics ;-)

I Wanna Fuck You - Akon

Akon's unapologetically gritty 2006 song is still one of my guilty pleasures. Originally aired on radio as "I Wanna Love You," Akon altered the lyrics some so it could gain traction, but the censored radio edit still doesn't pack as much punch as the real deal. Although I'm not a fan of rap or Snoop, and not into strippers, the red hot side of me cannot help but love the explicitly forward intentions and details of Akon and the Dogg. To my disappointment, the official video can no longer be seen unless you watch the clean "I Wanna Love You" version, so you'll have to make due with just lyrics. Don't ever listen to this while your mom or kids are in the room, lol.

Take Shelter - Years and Years

I had no idea who Years and Years were until I'd seen them on one of my old Romanian female friend's Google+ page a few years back. The first time I listened I instantly fell in love with the tune, poetry, and video of the eccentric British techno group. Although frontman Olly Alexander is gay and talking about a guy, the song still puts me in mind of a sexual situation with a female. The line "it's alright if you want to get used" really fires me up, and even the scenes in the video of the girl dancing around in the circle of guys makes me think they're about to use and abuse her, lol. But in a good way! :-)

Soft - Kings of Leon

KOL is a band I really have not listened to in a long time because those were better days when my sister was still alive, and we loved them. Although they've done a lot of great songs that tell a story, they have often been noted and hated for their gritty lyrics of sex and drinking, and in some sense I can see how, but "Soft" never ceases to entertain me with Caleb's unapologetic declaration of coming inside his girl...and on her ;-)

Crazy Bitch - Buckcherry

Another song you absolutely should not play in front of your mom, lol. Buckcherry's modern-day trash classic still gets me singing any time it pops up on the mature rock radio stations. Josh Todd knows exactly what he wants and is gonna get his way, giving the ultimatum that she "has to go down" if she wants to "get in bed with fame." A totally honky tonk rock diddy that is generally not my thing, but it's clever foulness speaks to my dirty side.

Pretty Gang - Red Cafe ft. Fabolous

Once again, I am not a fan of rap, yet cannot help but be immediately hypnotized by the opening synth tune and Red's contagious chorus. To my surprise this song is not as popular as you might think for its content, still not even at a million views on YouTube yet despite being out for a few years now, so Red is still trying to get out there. The song isn't exactly denoting sex, but an implication of mingling with a "pretty gang" in a sexually charged atmosphere. No doubt, the video objectifies women in rap's classic foul way, yet you can't help but find all those ethnic girls to be downright fuckable. Look out for the really hot girl who mouths along with Red, "made in vagina." ;-)

Break A Sweat - Becky G

I absolutely cannot stand Becky G's guts, lol. But hearing this song for the first time perked me up. The challenge she offers is right down my alley as a dominant guy in a very clear and poetic message. You want me to keep it up, huh? I hope you can handle it, sugar ;-)

Body Heat - Selena Gomez

As a guy I actually am not embarrassed about saying how much I like Selena Gomez's music, and loved her last release Revival the most, as she truly does prove to show more maturity in the lyrics and even freak me out a little with her ability to alter her voice in "Perfect." Although it seems impossible for Selena to ever be a sex symbol because of her eternal adolescent look, what I like about her is that she hasn't felt a need to go extremely sexual to try to shake off her Disney kid-star work history, like Miley, Lindsay Lohan, and others. "Body Heat" revvs me up because of its Latin beats reminiscent of Gloria Estefan, and gets me craving Latinas.

Dirty Talk - Wynter Gordon

Another Wynter Gordon favorite of mine is "Dirty Talk." The lyrics are not overtly trashy but carry a more sincere, creative sultriness that I really like, as well as a lively spirit that seems as if Wynter is asking us all to get up and sing and dance and feel the same thing with her. I often wonder why she hasn't become a lot more famous than she is over the years because her lyrics are often more genuine and artistic than others in the cookie-cutter musical rat race.

In the Evening - Led Zeppelin

This is my all-time favorite song ever. Years back, it was the one Zeppelin song I'd never heard until the classic rock station played it one night. Plant's lyrics detail a difficult woman you don't want to get caught up in, and you can tell there is an element of sex to it that he cleverly disguises poetically, as many of Zeppelin's songs are sexually charged. The tune and the words rub me in all the right ways, always making me think of scenes of delicious female cleavage, arms, legs, and butts walking around L.A. at sunset, as it also can even evoke an image in your mind of a dark, smoke-filled bar or club pulsing with eroticism and the sensual artistry of an exotic dancer on stage. The musical power of this rich, dark-chocolate melody will always be my favorite song.

Enjoy.
