  • It is kind of worrisome if you have been bleeding using a brush that you know is contaminated with bacteria.

If the bleeding is not due to you breaking your hymen, you have been causing some damage to the walls of the vagina and induced micro tears in the wall.

I presume that your brush has not been disinfected prior to inserting in your vagina, in which case, the handle contains billions of bacteria that are definitely not compatible with the flora and you can potentially get a nasty infection.

You have been using this brush with bare hands, which most likely, you did not wash beforehand and smeared the bacteria found on door handles, washrooms and other places directly onto the brush.

If the bleeding persists, you need to address the issue with a GP or your gynecologist. In the worst case, you may need to get antibiotics if you got a bacterial infection as a result of (wo) man handling your vagina.

    • Well.. how do ik if its from my hymen or not? I mean nothing hurts down there or anything it was just really light read blood. It doesent bleed anymore

    • Have you ever had sexual penetrative intercourse before or do you know if you are still a virgin? If you never had any penetrative intercourse or were a virgin, then the chance that you broke your hymen is elevated. However, even as a virgin, you may already have torn the hymen by doing a number of sports and activities. If the bleeding is not recurring after you use your brush, then you probably just slightly caused microtears in the wall of your vagina. If you decide to continue to use your brush, ensure that it has been disinfected before and use some water based lubricant. Your vagina may also have been too dry and the rubbing of the brush may have cause some tears.

  • Are you a virgin? It is possible that this may have been due to you breaking your hymen in which case you have nothing to worry about.
