Strip Poker Rules - Unique Version

I've debated internally for a while if I should share these rules, but thanks to this question When did you last play Strip Poker I decided to.

In college, these were the rules my group of wild friends and I came up with. We have been told these are quite unique rules. I don't personally think they are that unique, but then again I've never played by any other rules.

We put the Strip into Strip poker guaranteed.

I hope I didn't miss some detail here, as it has been a while since I last played.

Strip Poker Rules - Unique Version

The Rules

Rule #1 You must agree to all rules and they are clearly explained before the game starts to everyone.

No one makes you be there, totally your choice. Better to leave if you are insecure or worried or unsure.

Rule #2 You break any rules your out forever and will be shamed. If you are about to break a rule you will be warned and given the chance to NOT break it.

This is helpful for newer players who might not realize they are breaking a rule.

Rule #3 Everyone starts equal, can't load on tons of clothes so you have 50 things to take off one at a time. The starting amount was usually 5 items.

Rule #4 You play until the end, no leaving or quitting early. Don't join if you don't have the time. You must stay around until there is a winner, even if you are out.

Having to go to work or something else before the game ends, is considered breaking the rules and rule #2 applies.

Rule #5 Once an article of clothing is removed, even if you win it back. You cannot put it back on. No removed item can be put back on by anyone. They are now commodities to be traded and can be traded before removing anything else.

Rule #6 If you run out of clothing, you have the option to create virtual items, limited to the starting amount of real clothing items we started with.

If starting clothing was 5 items, you can create up to 5 virtual items. This is optional, you can just quit at this point and wait for the game to end.

No one is allowed to force anyone to create anything. Anyone pushing another to create something is considered breaking the rules. It must be 100% their own choice and idea.

Rule #7 You must honor any 'created' virtual items that you chose to create. Regardless of who ends up with it. To not honor would mean breaking the rules and #2 applies.

You can potentially negotiate, trade, or buy it back with real money, but only if the holder agrees and allows it.

Creating virtual items;

If John says he is going to create oral sex as a virtual item and throws that in, thinking a girl will get it and claim it later but it ends up with a gay man who has a crush on him, he still has to honor it.

Yes, this really did happen.

Be very careful what you create if you choose to do so.

What could you create virtually?

Anything that you as a person would be able to honor and live up to. You cannot create something that someone else has to do.

It also could not be illegal or criminal, with very minor exceptions. Such as streaking down the hall or around the block, while technically illegal was usually allowed but if you choose to create it and thus honor it later, you alone would have to deal with any legal consequences if you got caught.

Any violent or highly illegal items were not allowed to be created. The group could veto an item, if the majority thought it was inappropriate or too far.

If someone tried to create a useless virtual item, the group would also veto it. It had to have at least some value, to someone. If it was something no one would ever cash in later, it would be vetoed.

Game Play

Rounds would go as expected for a game of poker, using clothing/virtual items in place of money. With the exception being rule #4, you couldn't just quit whenever you wanted.

Those that lose first and are out, 'may' visually distract other players to cause them to lose faster, but no touching allowed for distractions. When you lose, you are not allowed to cover yourself with anything, including your hands/arms. You must be visible to everyone as much as possible, until the game is over.

Virtual Items During Game Play

Unlike real clothing items which you must give up if you lose. To prevent all virtual items from ending up with the winner, if you have no real items left and only virtual items you have the option to keep the virtual item(s) and quit.

Most virtual items are 'cashed' in or 'claimed' after the game ends, not during the game. When the game ends they can be traded, bought, or given away if someone wanted what you had and you did not want it.

Virtual items are considered only usable for a couple of days before they were considered expired.

The game ends when ONE person has all the real clothing items.

This means everyone and potentially the winner (if they lost their clothing but came back to win) will have no clothing items left on them.

In the end, everyone would get their clothing items back from the winner.

The Evolution of the rules

These rules were always a work in progress and did not start out this way, they evolved this way due to various situations that ruined some games and caused problems.

There was always a large number of people wanting to join, far more than could ever fit into a game. We would try balance it so there was equal number of men and women.

There was rarely anyone who broke the rules, but early on many people would suddenly want to quit right before they had to take off something that would expose themselves.

They joined to watch others strip, and never planned on doing it themselves.

Initially virtual items were not part of it, but due to popular demand and people offering certain things to continue playing, the virtual aspect was added as a optional way for those who wanted to.

There was also people who would not honor what they created. They claimed they were pressured or forced into it, hence the must not give suggestions or push anyone into something they would not normally want to do.

In the end these were the final rules that seemed to work quite well for a lot of games.

I played this a lot, rarely played other games like Truth or Dare, as this was such a popular thing and often hosted in my apartment with my roommates, but not always. Sometimes it would be hosted else ware.

The end result and idea was that people would just have fun and we all did.

Maybe some you will try a game using these rules, I haven't played for a while but maybe I will again in the future.

  • Good mytake.

played a few variations, I like when there is a twist to it.

There is also a Bondage version rule set.

Which is Strip Poker combined with Bondage as the option

    • There is versions of this that we almost never played, except as a very close group of friends. Hardcore, where you do NOT get your cloths back when it is over. Not played at your own place, so um... yeah, figure that one out. Also required virtual items of your choice. Like I said, was rare... I may have played a lot but I missed a lot as I had to work to pay for school, those who didn't need to played far more than I did but 98% would be the normal rules, not the hardcore ones. Bondage, would be interesting twist.

    • @aerissa_jade yeah it is, it also gives the Role of Dungeon Master a new slant lol

    • Definitely was a lot of fun, usually had at least one game a week, when possible. I missed a lot of them due to work and school, but any time I could.

    • @laurieluvsit @aerissa_jade Played many times, but I remember the last time I was suppose to, the girls had me serve in a thong, then, nude in the boat. Here was the final interaction before I went: Mike!!! Are you still available? My friends decided that they want it!!! I convinced them!!! Can you still come? ;) The girls would love to see dick pics!!! How much do you charge? This would be for a boat that's moving for a bit. Best, D

  • I love strip poker.

  • Happy New Year okay so when are we going to start are we going to do it online to or what LOL

  • "you will be shamed..."

I would have a problem with this one line... as it's not specific enough on what actually constitutes to be shamed

shaming someone for not abiding to your rules could escalate quickly... is it going to a Cersei level kind of thing? what does it mean exactly... lol

    • Just peer pressure shaming, bad rumors and stuff. Having a reputation as being dishonest for not living up to what you agreed to, could make it hard to get dates, or if you shared classes with others, could make it harder to pass. Nothing illegal of course. Those that liked to play would socially harass someone, we never directly had to personally as those who enjoyed the game wanted to keep it going and knew that if people broke the rules that it would end and no longer happen. The mere threat of it no longer happening and being forever cancelled made a lot of people do it it voluntarily. I'd say 95% of people never broke the rules and if you didn't care about any of that, it had little effect on you.

    • "just" peer pressure shaming... bad rumors... and "stuff" reputation damaged so you don't get dates and your grades at school drop... social harassment... and threats of being cancelled forever... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... lol

    • Pretty much, it was enough to make some people leave school, but like I said... most never broke the rules. What else could anyone do?

  • Great MyTake and some interesting rules. We played strip poker quite a lot as teens and in to our early 20s, but I'm not sure we were really serious about rules, out main aim was to just get naked and well, play "other" games.

  • I have only played it once and I had no clue what I was doing. I think it was a setup to trick me cause soon as I lost, fully 100% no cloths the guys decided to call it quits. It made me not want to ever play it again.

I might just again give it a shot with rules like this, although I would most likely not do any virtual items.

    • That is EXACTLY why the rule about can't quick early came into existence. Wasn't just guys but some girls too, time to strip and suddenly they needed to head out for something.

  • Aerissa as usual with your posts this was very interesting to read. I'd be really REALLY interested in you writing in more detail about your experiences playing with these rules, especially about the virtual items and whether or not the players honored their obligations. Like if a player won virtual oral sex would the creator have to honor that obligation during the game or at some other time?

    • Everything was done to keep the game moving, it would be afterwards. There could be exceptions though, if the person who owned the virtual item and the person who was to honor it were both out and waiting and decided to get it on, while the game continued. They would often do it there... that could be distracting to those still playing the game. Most people honored them, even straight guy (John wasn't his real name) honored it with the Gay guy who had the crush on him. Initially there was some pressure and confusion where people would use peer pressure to push someone into making something, like oh you'll win... but then they didn't and then they said they never wanted to make it. Hence the rule of no pressure, must be their idea. Once it went that route, everyone lived up to it. Many people played and never created virtual items, they'd win or lose without them and were happy. Others would create all kinds of stuff, some even would intentionally lose as fast as they can, hoping someone would cash in and they'd have to honor it. John learned after that time and next time he created virtual oral sex given to a female only.

    • Thanks so much for elaborating. Happy New Year! 🎈

  • jeez, when we played, once you ran out of clothes, you could only bet "favors" like 2 minutes of oral... or something. Everyone else had to agree the bet was "enough". If you lost, even if it was a same-sex player that won the hand, you still had to do the oral. or masturbate, or whatever your bet was.

The whole idea of strip poker (for us) wasn't to play cards. It was basically juvenile groupsex foreplay.

  • Way too many rules to follow.

When we played strip poker back in college and after-college in my 20s, we had simple rules:

    1. The dealer calls each game for the specific deal (ex: stud poker, draw poker, low-hand wins, etc.). The deal always goes clockwise around the table.
    2. On each deal, the person with the best poker hand gets to pick another person to remove an article of clothing. Ganging up on someone who doesn't win several hands in a row is possible, and encouraged.
    3. Once a person loses all their clothes and is selected by the hand winner, the winner can specify a physical act (nothing illegal) for that person to do, including (if applicable) the other person to do it with. The first few things to do are usually kinda tame, becoming more erotic later in the game.
    4. Play continues until everyone agrees to stop, or is so distracted they no longer want to play poker.

We usually played with 4 or 6 people, almost always an equal number of guys and girls.

  • I haven't played strip poker but I dont think I would either lol. I wouldn't be too concerned about being "insecure" I've eliminated 8 tables at a tournament in 1 night. But I'm damn sure my girlfriend would crucify me. I'll happily play for cash though.

    • I'm glad you'd never play, I'd lose to you.

    • Lmao we'd both lose. My girlfriend would murder me 🤣

  • I think it would take too long to play.

    • It actually went pretty fast most the time, as there was only one game. You didn't finish and start over again.

    • did you lose?

    • Only about 80% of the time.

  • Fine
    ill play
    stop bothering me about it
and consistently approaching me for sexual desires!!
I am more than a piece of meat!!!
    :(((

  • I would be willing to play. The rules break everything down

  • I would play for sure... is there age restrictions?

    • Back then, it was just be 18 to avoid problems, but I'm not planning on setting up a game or anything at the moment, just sharing the rules we used.

    • Ok nice thanks!!

  • Wow looks fun! Now I just need a hotter body

  • I've only played once but it was fun. This sounds especially fun.

  • How long would a game like that take?

    • Depends on number of players, we never went above ten, six was pretty average... but it would go pretty fast, maybe an hour or two on average. There seemed to always be someone who's entire goal was to lose as fast as he could so he could sit back and enjoy the view for the rest... so someone who played to lose.

    • Oh lol. Maybe you should start a league. ;)

    • That wouldn't be a bad idea, but many of my friends are now married with kids, so that would be awkward I suppose... lol. Just cool rules, I thought for those that want to get their own group together.

  • Nice. Well I've never played before but if you or others in here wanna play im game lol.

  • The only rule I would have an issue with is saying someone violated the rules because they have work and actually need to show up to get paid.

    • Hence why don't start if you don't have time. It was often an excuse to leave after they saw others nude before they would have to take stuff off themselves. If that is an issue skip that game and try again next time.

  • I think you may need to teach me 1 on 1 😜
